I've gotten hold of a bottle of liquid Morphine sulphate (oral solution) 100 mg / 5 ml or
put another way 20 mg / ml.
How I got a hold of this is a deeply sad story which I won't burden you guys with.
I would really appreciate help from you guys to use this safely.
I've googled and read this site finding info about this morphine but I still
have some concerns and questions and hopefully I'll give enough info about me
for you to help answer them, so here goes :

I'm a 43 yr. old 170 lb. male
The last time taking these kind of drugs would've been about 7-12
months ago when I got like 20 vicodans. When taking the vicodans I would
take 1 1/2 to 2 of them, i basically followed what prescriptions would say which worked great for me.

My biggest concern is that it says this 100 mg / 5 ml Morphine is for
opiate tolerant people that have been taking opiates for an extended time already.
So is there something different about this morphine than say the 10 mg / ml (oral solution)
that makes it more dangerous to non-opiate tolerant people.
Would an amount of mg's of the 100 mg / 5 ml solution be more dangerous than
the same amount of mg's of say 10 mg / 1 ml solution to a person without any opiate
tolerance built up ?

Or does it say that just because it would be easier to OD from using the incorrect
dosage because it's so concentrated ?

If it is actually safe for someone who doesn't have a tolerance built up what
dosage do you think I should start with?
What I want out of the morphine is just to calm my troubled mind a bit, to relax me a little.I'm not looking
for a trip or a great high and I don't want to be really slowed down.

Also am I supposed to just swallow the solution or put it under my tongue ?

I dont know the exact measurements but im sure someone will come along to help you........I do know you got some good stuff there!

Firstly, I'm very sorry for what has saddened you. <3

Yes..that morphine solution is extrememly potent.

20mg/1ml...that's a high concentration..as you know.

This is a scary one to respond to, as you're very opiate naive, it seems..
Be very wary..start low..measure exactly.
this means: go w/the 20mg./1ml dose..this could be all you need...as you're
not looking for 'high'

start there..see how you react
example..if it brings you the ease of tension you're looking for..then great..stop!

If it's not quite enough..
work up @ .5-1ml at a time..but..give yourself time to feel the effects first,
before considering re-dosing..an hour at least.

Hang in there!
It feels as though you're going through something difficult for sure....
and please be safe about this..

That is a highly potent form of morphine. Please do your homework and read up on this before trying it. If you have no tolerance, orally will be just fine, but rectal has a more preferable bioavailability and is not subject to extensive first pass metabolism like oral morphine.

If you're opiate naive: start with 0.5mL (10mg morphine) and see how you feel in 30 minutes, and decide whether to redose another 0.5mL (10mg morphine) until the 1 hour mark.

F**K me! That is strong!

I had a bottle of 10mg/5ml Oral Morphine Sulphate, i have a high tolerance to Opiates and i was dosing at 50 mg every hour or so and after 250mg + on a couple of occassions i felt it wasnt really for me so i binned it.

Btw please do not dose as highly as i did as it could very likely kill you.

@ tokenname, thanks for the post I appreciate it.
and everyone else thats responded thanks.

I just couldn't take it anymore and before seeing these responses
I did about 0.1 ml which would be 2 mg's which as you guys would've
known better than me did very little to relax me although I was able to take
a little nap but was probably a coincidence of me being very tired lately.

Also this dropper that came with it isn't very smooth to use to try to get
the right amount, stupid thing sucks.

I don't want to try the rectal thing so is putting it under my tongue better than just swallowing it ?

uhg, I just wish I had a bottle of vicodan or other pills but oh well.

Anyway, thanks to your posts I have a better idea of what to try.

@ tokenname, thanks for the post I appreciate it.

You're very welcome.

I'm sorry you didn't find relief..

It may be that you require a higher dosage..
but still caution is important.

The usual starting dosage for an opiate naive person is
between 5-30 mg. which you came pretty close to the higher end, there.
There's not much evidence that sublingual morphine
enhances effect..as generally it ends up being swallowed anyway..

It takes time to find the right dosage...
and it's very important to carefully administer your dosages, and give time
for effects to be felt.

Having said all that..
I wish you relief..
Your pain is showing through.
Hang in there. <3

Use an oral syringe instead of the dropper it comes with.

I would highly doubt you would be able to notice a difference from 2mg of morphine.

It doesn't matter whether its pills or a liquid solution, its all the same in your body. Just dose properly and follow the dosages these nice people recommend.

In all honesty in terms of pain management and bio availability you are saving around 2-3x as much of the drug by using it rectally versus orally. Get over the social-stigma and think about it :)

Yes, while that's true, if it's his first time, the oral BA and extensive 1st pass metabolism might actually help him out in case he's super sensitive to opiates or something. When you don't know something about a patient, you have to factor in that everyone reacts differently to drugs so a tiny dose for one person could have another person nodding.

But for regular users, rectal admin is definitely the best ROA for morphine IME.

@ whippa cracka..nm...messed it up.

the only difference I notice between pills and liquid..is liquid seems to 'on set' a little faster..
but I always have an empty stomach..so maybe that's all it is.

@justacrumb...rectally or plugging is what you'll hear alot of..because of morphine's BA.
In the end..(no pun intended..lol)..
You're a first timer..not a regular user..
and it's your choice, always.

Good luck.

@ whippa cracka I think he meant to type 20 mg.

Actually I did mean only 2 mg :).

Before my original post I did kind of have an idea of how much I should try
by reading the opioid conversion chart but was unsure of some things which
the replies to my post has helped me.
So before I got the replies to my post I was being over cautious because someone is counting on me to also get
them through this and the last thing they need is me zoned out on the couch or worse dead.

Thanks for all the help people!

Have you considered diluting it to 5mg/ml? Much less chance of an OD, and given your tolerance it's probably best.

You binned it?

Gone from jealous to something else now...;)
Sorry i didnt have your address to mail it to. ;)

To the OP i think 20mg would be a safe starter dose.

When i was Opiate naive i started out on 20mg of Oxycodone which was perfect.

0ral Morphine 30mg = 20mg Oral Oxycodone, although we all differ in our sensitivity to different substances i very much doubt you would OD on 30mg Morphine orally consumed as it also has a much lower Bio Availability than Oxy.

But saying that its better to underdose than to overdose and just puke your head off and itch like a cat with fleas!

I hope you find some comfort from somewhere.
