Opioids Your Personal Opiate Withdrawal Arsenal

Well at least your dose is at a managable level. Insomnia induced by suboxone wd can be particularly bad. I would try to taper down to .125-.0625mg before jumping.. reducing your dose 10-20% every 3 or 4 days.

^ will do man, ta very much for taking them time to help me out. hopefully the zopiclone will cut through the insomnia, the other two i can handle.

*edit*
and btw i've been on opiates, one form or the other for about two years.

Im reading people say adderall that may work for some but NOT all i got my hands on i think it was 50mg time released i tried last week im down to near the end of a big taper, for some energy what i got was 18 hours of hell jitters, anxiety, weird heart beats finally i beat it down with 1.5 mgs xan. Not for everyone

^ (the last dose) I've heard of people doing full rattles only using speed (not meth, I'm from across the pond from you so that's a rarity over here) and could never understand it, I think I'd rather be sedated in the hope of sleeping thru the wd's (can't feel em if u asleep right?) than been wide awake. I think I read somewhere on here it's down to the release of dopamine or some other chemical in ur brain which causes the relief from the wd's

in a month or so i should (hopefully) be jumping off my subs
my key worker said that when the time comes i can get the 'non-opiate detox Rx)
consisting of buscopan for cramps, anti-diarreah tablets that aren't immodium, and some zopiclone obv for sleep
hope its enough!

Not enough at all. You need at least lyrica, phenibut or gabapentin in high doses.

Well I used speed (not meth) for 5 weeks on WD's usually used it 4-5 days straight, I slept and ate food every day. On break days I took GHB, lyrica, gabapentin or phenibut. I can tell you that I didn't have to suffer at all. I don't get comedown from speed so it was no problem to use lots of speed, actually I miss the period of WD because it was so much fun using so many different good and fun drugs, but now I don't have any use for them.

neo i can only relate a little to what your saying only because back in the 1980s i used alot of speed back then it called crank was light orange looking and you snooted it couple minutes later i could feel the hairs standing on the back of my neck. I could almost drink a case of beer and not get a buzz i mean i would drink all night stay up for the whole weekend sometimes even longer then live on tums and milk for a couple days after not eating shit for 4 days. So if your use to speed i can see how it can wake up a beaten down body but thats it i dont get how you have any appitite on speed and what happens after dont you feel worse? i know one thing what works for one person might not another. And these days im not even sure what kind of speed is being used and how its being admin. But i do think its could only be effective if your use to it and a younger person.

In having a crisis!!! My last 3 days of heroin use before I start the methadone program and in freaking out. Was on the suboxone program for about 3 years and did great until I relapsed this past February and been going tough ever since. I tried to go back to suboxone but ended up in precipitated W\d s EVERYTIME. Anyway starting me off on my first dose of 30mg of methadone Monday at 6am....in scared of withdrawals horribly but I'm so done with this life. Anyone know if I'm going to be okay come Monday as far as withdrawal goes or am I going to have to use at night?

I've been building a back up kit for when I get off methadone. At the moment I have a few of each of the following:
-subatex
-phenobarbitol
-odansetron
-zoplicone
-zolpidem
-lyrica
-vitamins
-ketamine
-dxm
-Tylenol w/methocarbamol

30mgs should methadone should hold you nice with 0 withdrawls methadone has a pretty long halflife, only prob methadone is tougher to get through withdrawls then subs. Did you ever try kratom thats the route im going much better in the long run than meth. Getting stable where your at now is a must! lots of good info and good peeps here hang in there best of luck

Well the eating part was really hard. But every morning I took GHB to rise my appetite, I ate big breakfast, and after that I took my speed, then I ate lots of small pieces of fruits and vegetable, drank lots of milk (has lots of protein) and drink yoghurt's, also I took lots of vitamine pills. You just need to eat something that is easy to swallow. I also slept every night at least 7 hours by help of seroquel and one 5mg valium. In thtem orning I never felt anything that I would call comedown

When amphetmine is coming down, if ive had long binge I mught get negative view on my life, but I dont particulary feel depressed or anxiety. I mean I get really bad hangover and comedown from alcohol. I'äve done over 10 yeasrs speed (never too long, its never affected my life negatively, I stop it when it seems I ger problems from it). My dopamine system might be different fro most people. Mostly after speed my mind goes to baseline. I never feel suicidal thought when I come down from speed, I never feel something that I would call "hell", "torturous" or "terrible", yes after many days binge if I dont eat much my body feels very weak, but my mind has little more negative view on things. It hard to describe, but I never have felt anything that many people tell what they feel when they come down. I dont get sleep for 9 hours after last speed dose, bu t that isnt come down, its part of effect of stimulant.

I always eat my speed, I've never done it so much that I start to feel "damn I want to stop this but I can't". Ive done meth only maybe 4 times, even then I didnt feel much comedown, one time I smoked meth and after 6 hours I took 10mg valium to get sleep, next time I felt totally normal like I didn't take anything last day.

Ive heard from some other guys that they also never get comedown. YOu have to remember that some people dont get comedown or hungover from alcohol, its all about brains, how they react and work. My dopamine system is different many ways, even when Im sober I get very strong euphoria from porn or if I listen good music, almost like have taken some speed.

Im with ya 100% about getting stong euphoria from porn and good music and trust me your not the only one that uses speed to withdrawl on ops ive read it 20 times atleast. I also dont get alcohol hangovers, maybe 20 years ago i would be right with ya with speed for ops when i use to put it in a rolling paper and swallow it rocket fuel in my day would fuck your nose up!!!! I think mainly if you are a person that has developed any anxiety attacks shit like i have the last ten years speed dont work just bugggs the shit outa ya i do miss them days holy shit!!!! i have a pic my wife took of me after spending a weekend in our pop up camper back in the early 80s we were up all night on rocket fuel speed in the morning she picked up the camera to take a pic of me buggin so i picked up a butter knife to threaten her to put camera down lol this is great nobody will recognize me now ha ha ha
heres pic

Ideally, I'd say:

- Pregablin (up to 600mg/day) dependant on the size of your bastard fucking tolerance.

- Diazepam (30mg-ish/day). Don't really have access to any other long-acting benzo's but it is relatively easy to come by...

- Hash. (lots of it, in any formulation, as often as possible)

- Sertraline (200mg/ day - I'm scripted for 150mg but get a 28 day dispense so needs must etc.)

- Promethazine (a couple as needed for nausea and at night as a sleeper - never noticed the dosage). I've been given Metacloperamide for (non-w/d) nausea before but I hear one of it's side-effects can be the shits, so I don't think I'll chance it!

- Water/Isotonic drinks

- Music/TV/Internet

- Multi-vit

- Baby-wipes (for when the journey to the shower is just too perilous)

- More hash (just in case...)

- Imodium (I generally go with what it says on the side of the packet plus one)

Have got a cluck coming up in the next few weeks...should probably put more thought into this. My last one was horrible so not looking forward to it (although that said, i had 30mg of valium and some hash and nothing else to last me the whole process...*shudders*).

Most peoples 'arsenal' contains 4 other drugs, I find it ironic.

This technique is called the 'fear and loathing rapid detox'.

I would not suggest this, too many possible interactions!
If you're using the phenobarb, do not add any other cns depressant!! This shit is no joke, fun fact it's what the cult 'heavens gate' used to commit suicide.
If you'er taking methadone, you must pay extra attention to when you induct suboxone, risk of precipitated wd is high. Induct with low dosages (1mg) to help avoid pwd.

I would avoid disassociatives like dxm and ketamine.. and definetely avoid taking both.

I have read tons and tons of these tales and do find many of them very interesting but damn, how the hell do you guys build up such an arsenal of drugs to ease your W/D symptoms? Seriously, short of imodium and advil, I got nothing! It may be because I'm a little older and don't run in circles where these types of things would be accessible but once again, damn! It really does blow my mind when someone comes on here and says, hey guys I have these fifteen drugs to help with my W/D's, do you think I'm good? Shit, with that many drugs I sure as hell hope so! Sorry for the poke there but I truly am amazed!

^ Being older is why I have so many of the mentioned drugs available for if/when I have to go cold turkey. I have gabapentin and Lyrica, for when my first pain management doctor was banned from prescribing opiates, so these meds were substituted. I have over 200 ativan (benzo) on hand b/c I tell my doctor I have anxiety with my children growing up and thereby I experience "empty nest"anxiety. I have clonidine from my GP from when my second pain management doctor closed suddenly. By building a good relationship with a primary care provider, I would think you would be able to get most of these meds, over a period of time. I would say I was prescribed these drugs over a 3 year period of time. BTW: I would love to have a few subs on hand, but that is not possible to get from a GP... it must be obtained from a doctor holding a special certification. I would not go to the streets for anything at my age.

Oh... and I have over 200 cyclobenzadrine (generic Flexeril) a muscle relaxant to help with sleep. I have kratom which I obtained via the internet, but have not even tried that yet;it is for emergency withdrawals only.

Not to mention taking all those drugs at once over days has got to be at least as unhealthy as just taking 100mg of loperamide and completely ending the withdrawal.

Im right there with ya Poke im older too and for the same reasons your loading up with comfort meds so am i well im trying atleast. Im also getting comfort meds for another reason im 17 years in pain man and probably 18 years everyday on ops and ive never been thru full withdrawls. I do understand what some are saying to much comfort may cause relapse later but trust me when i say when i get off i will never go back after 18 years all you feel is normal on meds if your lucky actually its been so long since i felt high on ops. I'll be happy to finish out my years ops free smoking weed whenever i want (instead of three days a month cause i could not fail pain man urine sample) and drinking blue moons and some good bourbon and of course a xan here and there.

Yea I get tested every now and then too but oddly enough I actually asked my doctor about marijuana one time and he told me they don't even bother to test for it anymore. They're resigned to the fact that they wouldn't even have a practice if they had to kick everyone out that tested dirty for pot. I thought that was hilarious. To think I don't even do that anymore and I actually could and have the blessing of my doctor, so to speak. UFB!

I agree completely about the hash being a necessity. More and more and more. I've vaped through a quarter of oil in the past couple days. Just gives you something to do when you're sick. Helps with the cravings and nausea as well. It's unbearable for me though, at some point I always cave. All the klonopin in the world can't make it go away. It's intractable. Wish I never ever started this bullshit. I'm fighting for my life at the moment.
