Favorite video games of all time

Always fun to go over our nostalgic gaming moments. Just curious what other people view as their favorite games. My favorites would be (in no order, all on PC):

Call of Duty original
Battlefield 2
Total War series (Medieval 1 was my favorite)
Age of Empires II
Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic
Microsoft Combat Flight Simulator
X-Wing vs TIE Fighter
Unreal Tournament 2004
World of Warcraft (played up until Lich King expansion, probably the most "into" a game Ive ever been. 40 man Molten Core raids were the shit in a guild full of potheads)

Have some great multiplayer memories with those. Also Rune and cossacks:european wars were great.

Finally another Total War lover. Sweet. My favorite was the Rome series. Right now though I am deep into Shogun 2 as the Takeda clan. Can't wait for the new one to come out Fall of the Samurai.

For share weight of hours playing with mates I would have to go with FIFA football/ Pro evolution or Madden NFL series. Ricky Ponting's cricket also got a good hard thrashing during the summer seasons. Firing up the playstation or xbox at the end of a night clubbing went hand in hand with soemone rolling a spliff and someone else putting the kettle on to make a tea. Epic play off battles and arguments about which teams we were going to play.

Sim city has kept me amuse for more hours solo than perhaps even masturbation.

Ocarina of time also an unforgettable classic IMO. Ive played through it at least 4 times.

Damn... realizing I grew up in the golden age of videogames.
 
World of Warcraft! Been playing it since The Burning Crusade expansion (didn't get a chance to do any Molten Core 40 mans like the OP) but regardless, the game just sucks me in.

The N64 was my first system. My parents got it for me for christmas the year it came out...shit, I was still in single digit ages back then...

I liked some of the nintendo games so much that I DL'd them for the virtual console for the Wii. :)

i've played many hours of zelda games, paper mario series was fun but really i'm a pc gamer.

i've probably put the most time into the anno series, i'm surprised no one has mentioned it, if you haven't heard of these games you must check them out, i've wasted so many months playing them. Sometimes i start playing and before i know it i've wasted 10 hours straight. I've also played a shitload of civ 5 but it's not the same.
