Hey Bl'ers

I usually love myself some darker DnB, but at the moment i'm after some drum and bass with a more relaxed vibe. I'm sort of after something similair to Liquid but with less vocals. I'm a bit of a noob when it comes to terminology and artists/producers/labels that would put out the stuff i'm interested in, so was hoping for some links to a youtube clip or torrent or something.

Stuff like this I guess.

Thank you

I'm going to suggest some Youtube channels that usually have a nice selection of ambient/liquid tunes.
Check out DnBrevolution, jsaltzz, liquicity, MrSuicideSheep, and terradnb.

Bachelors of Science, Blu Mar Ten, Calibre, Capsika, Drifta, Lenzman, Nu:Tone, Logistics, Seba, and Nuage may be some artists you may be interested in. I'll link some stuff later when I have more time. :)

check awake (rawrthaas) on youtube. especially the track angeldust.

Check out Good Looking Record's releases. The vinyl releases might be hard to find, but online music stores should have their work. Most of their releases have that ambient feel to them.

Ambient D&B
Goldie - Timeless
This is probably the ultimate ambient drum & bass track (it's really composed of three separate tracks). This release is what introduced D&B to the mainstream world back in 1995.

The Chameleon - Just Close Your Eyes & Listen
High Contrast - Mermaid Scar
Klute - Ashram
Logistics - Together
LTJ Bukem - Demon's Theme

I would say that in general, older D&B/Jungle tends to have a much more ambient feel to it. It might not exactly sound like ambient music, but you will hear the ambient influence. I think it's mostly because D&B was more freeform then, as opposed to the late 90s/ early 2000s when it was all dark, clinical tech-step derived music.

Chillout D&B
Atlantic Connection - Hanging On (Junodownload LQ preview)
Intense - Careless Minds
LTJ Bukem - Cosmic Interlude

mmmmhmm +1 for Nuage and seba. Also gonna add Contour, Stunna, Blue Motion & Grimm and Mutt, but those are just the artists that always release chill tunes. IME a lot of the biggest chillout gems come from the producers known mostly for a different style.
