I´ve noticed that we don´t have much in the way of a mega thread on cocaine her in AUSDD. So I thought I would get the ball rolling.

Until recently my experience with cocaine was pretty limited to just the odd line that a friend would shout me. However lately I have been in central and south america and have been it maybe a few times a week if i am in a partying mood (there will be some weeks where I will not touch it though). Even though it is very cheap (to give you an idea its about the same price you pay per gram of weed in Aus) and pure, I still find it to be a bit of an overrated drug. It offers little in the way of empathy, doesn´t have the same kick as meth has, and also the redosing thing is a real pain in the arse due to needing to do it every half hour. Its also really moorish. One the otherhand, it is good for socialising, and gos very well with booze.

So who in Oz likes coke? to the point that you regularly induldge or find it to be a worthwhile drug?

Also I have noticed differences between batches, but not as a matter of purity. Some stuff feels quite speedy and jittery, with sleep being difficult. other coke is much more subdued, but more social and provides a nicer mood lift. it is also easier on the heart and doesnt cause as much insomnia. What do you think is the cause of this? different impurities, or different isomers etc?

any other thoughts and opinions feel free to add

i believe the reason for that is because some aus coke is cut with caffeine
 
^More than just caffeine. Cocaine is cut with every-fucking thing under the sun. Some of the random drugs found in Australian Cocaine from the ABS seizure statistics amazed me...

I'm by no means a player in the Cocaine trade but for a while I had a new kind of free Cocaine (the only kind worth trying in Australia) to test every couple of weeks. The high and properties of the 'cocaine' was different almost every time. Anyone who has done a wash on your average Australian coke will tell you just how impure it really is. I have tried really good, relaxing cocaine a couple of times but the bad far outweigh the good, as I'm sure it does for others.

Cocaine in Australia is more of a social status than a drug. Most people that use it do it only to look rich and glamerous, and have little to no idea what good Cocaine should do anyway. As long as they keep forking out the rediculous asking price for the junk it will stay around.
 
It does have that wank factor here in Australia. Unfortunately I happen to know quite a few wankers ;) Being able to pull out a large bag of ching goes hand in hand with sporting a nice watch or showing slides of your family ski trip to Aspen. I actually prefer those type of wankers to the other Muzza-type that you see at Summerfield days or another Summer time festival.

Most of Australia's coke I wouldn't even consider a true drug. It's effects are up there with a couple of coffees or a few fingers of nice scotch. Top notch stuff is more calming than charging and as a result is enjoyed differently in other parts of the world. Price in Australia is the most insulting thing. Recently I have heard of very extreme prices (think of a regular high price per gram and double it) and by all reports it is top grade charlie. All well and good but I'd much prefer to spend the same amount of money and fly straight to the source and have a weeks holiday at the same time. :\
 
I've tried only a few times, years ago. It was good quality but expensive, and I liked it for social situations like parties or going out (at the time I had social anxiety issues which the coke helped a lot with). Price was prohibitive though and I've never used it again since. Like Busty said, good quality cocaine is more calming then stimulating... but the conversation definitely flows on. ;)
 
Yeah seems to be overrated to me also. If I'm overseas in places where it's cheap and good quality I'll usually indulge a few times. It's good fun and have had some great nights on it while drinking.

When I've tried it locally I've always ended up disappointed. Usually doesn't compare to the stuff in other countries quality wise...and when it does the price stops me from having a proper night on it.

The speedier stuff could just be cut with a stimulant like amphetamine or caffeine. If you do a lot and keep redosing over a decent amount of time I find the jittery feelings increase and insomnia is much worse, even with the stuff that feels more pure at first.
 
For once I tend to agree with pretty much everything you said ;)

I am amazed that punters waste so much of their hard? earned cash on terrible quality cocaine imitations. I have talked to a few in the cocaine trade and the general lack of any chemistry/drug knowledge and disregard for end user health and quality control is fucking appaling to say the least.

I've been unfortunate enough to make the acquaitance of more than I care to admit of dickhead cocaine pushers. It amazed me the amount of dodgy shit in the business. Things like cutting kilo's etc. with bi-carb and all sorts of random shitty cuts. One that really surprised me is the prevelance of "making" pseudo-cocaine - that is a strong numbing agent ie Xylocaine mixed with small amounts of whatever cheap, short lasting RC they could get their hands on and plenty of filler. I'm not just talking street level shit here either.

I've only ever had what I consider high purity cocaine in Aus 3-4 times. So calming, so smooth, no jitteriness like all the other crap. What All Cocaine should be like. Was fantastic to only have a few little ket bumps and not have a nose full of white concrete :D I have also been hearing of a bit more of the double the price high strength stuff going around. Bugger paying that much though, I'll stick to the free stuff :p
 
I only had coke a couple of times thus far, the last time I had on decent authority that it was supposed to be pretty good quality and I definately enjoyed it more than the first. I do think coke is a more relaxed feeling than meth and it does go well with grog. Its easy to see why people really enjoy cocaine in social situations, especially ones where it might be favourable to not obviously be on drugs to outside observers, however it is far too expensive and of unreliable quality in this country for it to ever be a go to drug for me.

It is a shame those in the coke trade surrounding this country have decided to be so greedy, I reckon if it was about 2/3 the price and atleast reliably average quality it could of taken off here instead of just being a status symbol.
 
I don't know what you call the combination of coke and naked boobs but that can also be lots fun.
 
Cocamammary? I'm sure there is a scientific name for that common, euphoric combination. ;)

Have come across this pseudo-cocaine before and it was amazing how many people it fooled. It looked like grey powder with the odd crystal speck, and was damp...the tiniest bit would numb your entire mouth and throat, and it was active at very small doses. Was ridiculously expensive and the effects weren't anything more than crap meth...people seemed to like it but pretty sure they were getting high on the whole cocaine image.

Well i will be one of the people here that say i loveit, in fact it is my favorite drug, but i only smoke it, the rush takes your breath away albeit for a few minutes but it is the bomb. Sex on it is to die for!!! Can make orgasms seem to last for ages!!! I only buy it when it is extremely pure and i can say the last 3months in NSW has been very good. Especially the last one i got last week was the second best i have ever had. 7 years ago on the other hand i got the mother of all mothers and one gram lasted me 2months, i had it every friday night for about 4hrs i was off my face off a few specs, could not rail this stuff, i used a razor and shaved it but it curled back on itself and it was impossible to snort so i just gummed it.It was so hard i thru it at the wall and it did not break!!! It was pure heaven, i put it akin to having base if you regularly take speed, to a normal coke taker it was like dynamite! The strongest thing i have ever had EVER! Never seen anything like it until last week but it was not as strong, only slightly weaker. I do cook 99% of the coke i get and smoke it thru a pipe with straight stems and gauze in the top stem if anyone knows what that is they know its the best thing to smoke it out of!(can take a pic and sho you if you want) Normal ice pipes just dont cut it. The initial rush wears off and it does keep you up for hours later, its just the effects of the drug, thats how it is. Smoking weed with it is beautiful and so is drinking. I agree the price is just ridiculous but i dont buy it unless its in the 90's, Meth is good with it too especially if the initial rush of meth has worn off then you have it its crazy! Thats my 2 cents.
 
^ Meth and crack together sounds like a risky combo, could be tough on your heart and both are already hard enough on your heart.

Not many people in Australia have smoked crack I imagine; I once let a friend make some crack from some cocaine I had but all he got was a numb throat and lips. Wasn't the best stuff I'd ever received and I hadn't done an acetone wash on it.
 
It is heavy on your heart but its best to do when the intital rush of the meth has worn off, like when all you are doing is being awake from it smoking it then is great. I love the taste of it when you smoke it, its beautiful. I had a pipe of it one night about a year ago when i had a pill and it was a no no!!! I had to lie down for two hours, feeling like i was nearly gonna have a heart attack but still smiling and peaking so frickin hard, i would never do that again! Also whacking it is scary as the purity can shange week to week. 4 years ago to 7 years ago it was insane, and even the slightest % in difference can mean an O.D or not. My mate whacked this one one week and was fine, the next week we got another one and i knew it was stronger, he whacked the same amount as he did the week before and he also had to lie down sweating and nearly O.D'ing from it, so be careful if you are new to it. I never rack it, no matter how pure somewhere tells you it is it always fucks my nose and sinus for a week, my Mrs including actually gets her worse! She hates snorting it, but will smoke it all day long not that that is recommended cause you really only need abut 10 pipes and you are done for the night. I would say weed is a must with it, it really finishes it off the right way!
 
No need for acetone wash if its good stuff. Just a spice jar and bi carb, but it is not easy to do if you dont know what you are doing! Can be a somewhat waste but dont despair if you dissolve it in water and cook it and cant get it to harden, not all of them do! Just let the water evaporate and you will be left with paste that is smokeable. I love it. Its so much better than snorting any type of it, im sure if more people cooked it and smoked it they would like it more!
 
^ Yeah you don't need the acetone if it's good, but a lot of stuff going around ain't so good. ;)

What's the minimum amount you would use for a conversion to the freebase?
 
If its chronic, you can get away doing a few points, i'll go as far as to say you can do a point on a spoon with a few drops of water if you know what you are doing. I have cooked half a gram in a jar before and it turned out good. Like i said if it dont harden due to the type of coke or too much water or too much bi carb, you can leave the jar in a hot room and the water will evaporate or you can alternately pour it onto a plate or two or three and then leave them lying around and it will evaporate like that, alot of bicarb will be left on the last plate but you can still scrape it and smoke that in a cone piece with weed, it hammers you like that just like a snow cone.

In a spice jar, no more than 2cm of water for a gram, you add can drops if need be, on very low heat in a pot of water, dont touch it too much, if its good stuff it will cake up and you just push it down back into the water and drip drops from the rim of the jar to slide the residue down, once the water in the jar turns clear it should be done, most will clump together in the center of the jar into a rock, just cool it with drops of cold water and roll the rock out. No more than 1:4 parts bicarb.

It takes some practice and they dont all harden like i said, some will just not harden or clump together, then you have no choice but to drain it onto a plate and let it evaporate, turn oven on defrost and hold the jar in front of it til it dries, scrape and smoke.
 
^ My friend used a test tube for the small cook I let him do, wouldn't have been more then a point. As I said though, the coke wasn't the best quality so he didn't get much from it. I was snorting and feeling good though, just needed to use larger amounts then with better stuff.

I had a pipe of it one night about a year ago when i had a pill and it was a no no!!!

Probably a good thing he didn't get a good hit out of it then, because we had some decent pills not long after that. :)
