Can you take LSD 2 consecutive days in a row?
    #1
I tried using the search bar, and couldn't find anything. My friend dropped acid last night and wants to do it again today with me, and I've heard rumors that you can only take LSD here and there; not everyday, because you won't feel the effects of it if taken 2 days in a row. Is this true or false?

You can take it two days in a row, but the second day the effects will be not nearly as strong as they were the first day.

You can take LSD two days in a row but you need to take about twice the amount you took on the first day to get the same level of effect on the second.

The number one cause of premature acid vial emptyness is dosing the day after dosing, it's true haha.

    ^haha slippery slope...

from what i've seen, the level of effect received during consecutive trips varies from person to person; though it seems that the effect is lessened to a degree across the board.

myself, back in my day of very regular psychedelic experiences i would always be satisfied from the second day of tripping, even if the same dose was taken 2 days in a row. however, i could definitely notice a lessening of the intensity.

the way i remember describing it to people years ago, was that when you trip regularly and become used to the psychedelics mind state, it seems that your conscious self quickly gains the ability to coordinate 'itself' within the mindset. the effect of this is, from my experience is the consequent 'bringing of the self into the experience', which in effect holds back the ego annihilation part of the experience....lol, does that make any sense, it's rather hard to put into words. largely the difference of the feeling is a sense of groundedness, or 'not being blown awayness' during the experience.....

now all of that being said, i think the difference in one's experience of multiple days in a row of tripping is partially determined by the ego's own limitations..whereas normally tripping this is the last thing holding you back. myself, practicing much meditation and consciousness exploration without the use of psychedelics;i was always still quite satisfied with the experiences. i just noticed it felt less alien, or weird....almost begining to seem 'normal' to be tripping, though i would no doubt be tripping still....

the ultimate deterent of such practices from my experience is the crossing over effect...lol, quite intimidating...which is: When you start feeling 'normal' while tripping, it's easy to feel 'trippy' while sober. some may feel that is a desirable effect, to each their own...HPPD or HPPO (hallucinogenic perceptual order: order brought about through the persistent perceptual after-effects of hallucinogenics) i used to argue i had the latter....

i don't trip so much anymore, a few times a year and generally in a more ceremonial context...certainly with absolute intentions and respect, my years of nonchalant psychedelic adventuring are past. and so it rarely comes up to consider a second day of tripping after a first...however i don't disclude the possibility.

i've had very spiritually transformative experiences eating psychedelics multiple days in a row, so i regret none of what i've gone through, and i'm open the possibility of a weeklong perceptual workout lol....but moderation, disciplined self-preparation, and solid intention are the right ingredients for positive and evolutionarily-beneficial experiences....

sorry for the lengthiness, didn't mean to make it too personal, but i feel the subjective nature of one's own recollective experience is the best stone to throw when it comes to moving towards objective truth.

^^ On that note, a friend of a friend HAS in fact tripped out on acid for a whole freaking week. Apparently he kept taking more every time he came down. I can't imagine it's good for your mind or brain, but it's possible.

You can of course, but expect perhaps a 60-70% drop in potency of effects. LSD tolerance builds very rapidly.

You'd be better off waiting a week or so, unless of course you have tons of the stuff.

Its a waste in my opinion. If I wait a week I can trip again but if your having to worry about tolerance then your tripping to much. Its an incredible experience but wait a few weeks. Save the doses you have left for when they will truly shine. ive been there and was dissapointed that i wasted such an awesome chemical.

No, LSD doesn't work 2 days in a row. You just get a stimulant physical feeling and no psychedelic effects whatsoever. Mushrooms can work 2 days in a row but with LSD being so long-lasting, it lasts well into the next day even if you take it at breakfast the previous day.

^I've taken LSD multiple days in a row and had psychedelic effects. Depends on the person, set, setting, personal health, dose, etc.

Probably also depends what you call "psychedelic effects".

Nah man, you'll get yourself in a bad place if you abuse LSD like that. Stop doing so many drugs, lol, I mean rolling every week is some seriously self-abusive behavior, you may want to reevaluate your situation.

Same here, it does work. Or at least it did for me.

You can, but I don't recommend it your unlikely to enjoy the trip as much. It'll feel like something's missing, if you do remember to dose double!

Thread is super old but curious to know how your friend experienced the next day if that said you did decide to trip. I'm tripping now but want to again in a day or so. Ta

There's no way that poster will answer, he's surely long gone. But tripping multiple days in a row does work, but isn't worth it except in special cases. Psychedelics cause rapid short-term tolerance to develop, so much so that if you take LSD again the next day, it will be only about half as strong at the same dose, if even that. Plus, you'll be more used to it so the trip won't be as special-feeling. In general, if you want to trip multiple days in a row, it works best to change up the family of psychedelics between days (and also take more each day than you would if it was your first time tripping in a while). Like for example, mushrooms one day, LSD the next. Mushrooms will cause tolerance to LSD (and vice versa), but LSD will cause more tolerance to LSD than mushrooms will.

Besides this though, you want to avoid tripping too regularly. Even tripping once a week, you'll start to lose the magic after a while, just because you're so familiar with the tripping state, it starts to seem normal, and a lot of that crazy mind-bending stuff won't happen anymore. Tripping multiple days in a row more than every so often (like at a music festival or something - I do this, but I only go to one or 2 of them a year) will very quickly fuck your tolerance up for a long time. In 2006 through the end of 2007, I started tripping at least half the days of the week, sometimes more. By the end I was taking huge doses and just feeling a buzz. I stopped taking any psychedelics for 3 years and when I started tripping again, I STILL had a big tolerance, I needed at least twice the dose of everyone else. Now, I don't trip too often, twice a month generally, and at last (almost 10 years later), my tolerance is back to normal and I can trip hard off of normal dosages again. So trust me, it's not worth it, just keep your use of psychedelics to an appropriate level, if you abuse them, you'll regret it. I was lucky, I have a brain that handles psychedelics really well, from all that abuse I didn't fuck myself up, but some people develop really serious mental and emotional problems from abuse of psychedelics. And the absolute best case scenario is that you will destroy your ability to have good trips for a long time.

i did LSD damn near every day one summer, you end up dropping 10 strips like they are candy so if money is an issue or whatever wait a week or two.

LSD has such a great tolerance to it, that the second day effects for me, are reduced by like 75%

I get what seems to be 50% restoration of receptor interaction in 2 days:
If I only use a partial dose (50 mics or less) by the 3rd day the effects are solidly supported, since I had not consumed all receptor potentials.

I estimate that there are more highly exposed receptors and less highly exposed receptors. Light dosing leaves some receptors in each brain region.

A larger (full spectrum effect) dose like 150 to 250 mics will hit most of them, and you will need 2 days to restore 1/2 of them, and 2 more to get to 3/4 restoration, and 2 more to get to 7/8 restoration; this makes for a total of 10 to 12 days to get full restoration unless some other usage consumes the receptors.

If you dose between restorations you do not get a full bouquet of effects, but you do get some head fuckery and a variety of charming distortions, but it is more like a few candles than a bonfire.

Even fully restored, the effects of "soon as possible dosing" seem less dramatic, because of psychological pre-adjustments, or lack of freshness to the whole nature of the experience.
