Ugh where are the bloody dragons and zombiesss! Fuck, this show is worst than a cock tease in high school. Daenerys has by far the most interesting story line, IMO, but we only get like 3 minutes with her every episode. There are just way too many characters and arcs, a lot of which are boring.

way to make a FUCKING RAPIST out of a character who always said sexual violence was distasteful and didn't kill anyone if he didn't have to.

christ! there wasn't another way to show everyone that jaime and cersei are growing apart? the director of last night's episode said it wasn't rape because 'power struggles are a turn on for them.' uh NO? she said fucking no over and over and tried to get away from him the WHOLE TIME. does he need to beat her for it to be rape? sometimes, i swear. what is it with this show making consensual, pleasurable sex in the books into rape for the show? and to the detriment of the characters involved.

now i'm worried that his storyline is going to be all fucked up after the great GRRM written episode of last week. maybe i'll have to hang my hopes on tyrion's trial to fix this mess.

ugh petyr baelish too, the way he was all in sansa's face FUCKING CREEPER. sort of a weird episode, though damn tyrion and podrick nearly had me crying. :( never has there been a more loyal squire.

good thing from the internet:

Yeah the rape scene was a bit much, and yeah petyr baelish in sansas face like a creepy weirdo. looking forward to the red viper vs the mountain fight. not much else apart from that. i wish they didnt bother with the scenes of the fat guy with the wildling, boring as fuck and couldnt really give a shit, dull, infact theres a lot of scenes that are fucking dull

The rape scene was so fucking annoying. It's clearly a 'consensual rape' scene a la bad porn. 'It's not right (but keep fucking me)'. 8( Ugh I'm grossed out now.

The rest of the episode I really liked. I really want Sansa to meet up with her sister soon to be badasses together again.

Yeah I read that the scene was very different from the books. In the book, it was totally consensual, but also, the entire situation and timeline was different as well. In the actual novel, Jamie didn't come back until that day, and that was the first time Cersi saw him since he'd gotten captured. So it was a big deal. In the show, he'd already been back for a couple weeks and shit, so it was very different.

Here's an article about it with excerpts from the novel of those scenes, and quotes from what GRRM and the show runners had to say about it. http://jezebel.com/the-game-of-thrones-rape-scene-was-unnecessary-and-desp-1565671570

Oh, btw, by this I didn't mean it was actually consensual sex. It's what whatever stupid ass writer thought tested the limits of "hot" "she says no but really wants it" sex. Or maybe the writer didn't think it was hot and just wanted J to rape her. OR they wanted to shock the audience. All really disappointing reasons IMO.

I also found that scene very distasteful, I haven't read the books either so it wouldn't have sullied my opinion.. it was very poorly executed all around. The rest of the season has been quite moving though, even that scene really. I thought the Little Finger part was exactly as creepy as he has come off the entire rest of the series, seemed to fit a backstabbing pimp quite well.

They wanted to shock the audience i reckon. either way whoever decided to alter that from the book should get a smack around the head

I liked Little Fingers line

"Money buys a mans silence for a time. A bolt in the heart buys it forever."

Bad ass.

NOT CANON COMPLIANT

wtf

we have reached the most boring part of books 4 and five for sure

Seems kind of weird how we never really saw Joffrey's brother before he took the throne... kind of makes me think he's going to be killed, and soon.

great episode, better than last weeks

NSFW:
Man, Peter Dinklage gave it up this episode. Golden Globe or Emmy for sure. The Stannis fan in me was satisfied. Davos probably gave the best analysis of the throne as it stands.

i don't think on-screen time correlates to longevity at all. ned stark? joffrey? robb stark? cat stark? renly baratheon? drogo? viserys? ros? jeor mormont? rodrik cassel? jory cassel? maester luwin?
