they do sometimes do a full on raid on a club and close it and take everyone in the places urine and bust the positives, no joke
 
If they're willing to drink my piss then I bet they'd find a way to accidentally miss testing me?
 
Thailand, Malaysia and Singapore and to a lesser extent Indonesia (mainly Bali) do that periodically. Refusal is jail, deportation and persona non grata.
 
Ok, so no morphine or needles in pharmacies, but I can definitley live with out that.

My next question has anyone been to a mushy shake bar in koh samui? And if so are they legal? I asked a cab driver and he said he would take me to his home for [snip] baht for one but I declined as I would much prefer to indulge in a cafe where they are openly served?

Any one got any first hand experiences on this?

yeah i was a bit sketchen bout that, i even stopped smoking a cupla weeks before i went. i asked the locals (about the testing) and they said it happens on the main land and theyve never had it on the island. but they were the ones trying to sell it to me haha

also spoke to some americans that came through bangkok and they all got "randomly" tested when they went through customs. fair bullshit

not sure if there are mushy shake places on samui, probably but the most known is one on the hill in Hat Rin Koh Phagnang or however it is spelt (where the full moon parties are, oh and the half moon and the 1/4 moon and the fucking 1/8th moon now 8)). It is openly known they do mushy shakes and there really is no worries unless they arent serving or tell you its no go. There is a very very small police presence on these islands and if there are some Bangkok police in everyone knows and/or its just for the full moon party.

There seems to be a big difference between local police and the feared Bangkok police crack squads. The latter are politically sent to crack down on occassion and are more of a worry and less likely to be sympathetic or bribed. I am not 100% on this but it seemed to be the word.

The cabbie you say is likely no problem but just making it overpriced to make some baht. That sounds a bit steep for one should be like half that or something at a guess cant really remember tho

^^ just got offered a gram ofthe dirtiest looking brown ganja on the beach for [snip]thb. Told him he fuckin dreaming pisspot and rock, if only he knew the quality crystal green I have at home which I will be hitting in 7 nights when I get home.

Sorry Thai dude but risking possible jail time when I have Val, codiene, beautiful Chang beer, and a fiancé of premium ass, you gots to be kidding me

The thing is? The entire shroom scene began with Europeans bringing in spore prints,teaching locals out of altruism, etc., now clowns like the taxi driver...if it isn't a setup, gets over ripping off tourists. The whole island scene down there is like a giant whore house. Even the jet ski rentals are scams.

Altruisim? Yeah, I'm sure that was their only motivation.
Psilocybe mushrooms existed in Thailand long before the European tourists arrived. Tropical climate, buffalo shit everywhere - definitely no need to bring in spore prints.
I agree, so many once beautiful Thai islands are absolute zoos now, but the tourists themselves are largely responsible for this.

Drug tourism has done a huge amount of damage to many places in SE Asia.

I agree these islands are being polluted badly by tourism and subsequently the thais that make money from them. Its not really the thais fault, where there is a market it will be exploited particularly in a country with a large lower-mid class.
Koh Samui is the biggest culprit here, Chaweng Beach is a line of whorehouses no doubt with alot of european trash. Nat as bad as Pattaya or Phuket but on the way.
Kod Phangnang is better more relaxed apart from the moon parties but it is inevitably heading in Samuis direction.
The secret here is the diving island north called Koh Tao. It isnt devoid of tourism at all but it is much less busy more remote and a natural paradise.

To state that drugs have or are ruining this region is a bit far fetched however. Many tourists are very sketchy about induldging in this but far less so about getting drunk and banging whores. (hey I'm not judging everything in moderation8))
 
to add there is large domestic damage in Thailand by methamphetamine but not really related to tourism at all, apart from the fact that most of the girls in bars smoke yaba, and they are predominantly catering to tourists/expats

Just picked up 2 yaba pills ( stupid I know ). 2 little yellow pills that look the size of Valium plus they have a Thai stamp on them. Fingers crossed there not fake.

Anyways I report back in an hour
 
yellow hmm never seen yellow ones man,
always pinky red with WY on em, if they are squishy and burn to ashey stuff they are bunk but if they are pretty hard like you almost cant beak with your fingers and when heat is applied they melt to a blackish resin you prolly good
 
^^^ was bunk, probably generic Thai vals. I was too scared to check just wanted to get the fuck out oh there in case cops showed up.
 
Went again last night and got some ice instead. about 3 points for (cheap). Definitly not fake this time, actually some the pureest I have had. Lucky I am packed up on vals codeine forte and Viagra.

Oh and for the sake of hr and just posting my booty. What I did was ride the bike all the was home with it in my hand so if any cops try and pull me other I could just toss it as those roads in koh samui have no road lights just the lights fromwhatever 7 11 are still open. Plus I went straight back to the hotel asap.

Too bad I can't tell my fiancé though
 
lol nice one, spiritfolk goes undercover in samui. There is heaps less chance to be duped getting shard ey, but I kind of liked the yaba, a bit less potent to get me too messed and a longer smoking ritual :)

On Cops though they always get the dudes running and throwing a baggy of crack lol. They're like "na man thats not mine I never seen it I ain't throw nothin man" then "ok your going to jail tonight for resisting and possession of a controlled substance" :!
