Great question, please do not misunderstand, I am merely offering a suggestion.
A way to answer the question. I am not saying this must be done.

In regards to the water filter my answer would be "that I have tried may water filters and there are many different brands. This is the brand that I have checked, referenced, re-checked, and has not failed me yet. You should look into it for yourself".

I am also interested in what others believe and why they believe as they do.
However as in the water filter example I have checked, rechecked, and have done my due diligence on my belief. Knowing what I know today I could never turn back. Please do not misunderstand what I am saying, my belief is strong.
I do not intend to convert. However when someone asks such a question I want to offer them what I have to them. I know very well people do what they want to do. I also know that sometimes they haven't enough information to make an informed decision.
