Good day everyone.

Like some or may in this forum I too have had a serious drug problem that along with a chronic depression and as a consequence I began to loose any consideration of my body and went really heavy with needles.
I'm not talking about Heroin here (I gave that up at the age of 16 and never injected it), but mostly pharmaceuticals and ketamine injections.

I began taking massive doses of Clonazepam when my depression got completely out of hand, i figured out how to fake prescription so nothing was stopping me from goin to the pharmacy and take whatever i wanned.
I began with taking it orally, first pills and later on i switched to liquid form since it was much faster-acting. When my habbit got up to 20-30mg a day of clonazepam i tried injecting the liquid form and woah...since then i've been always injecting it.
Along with that i would sometimes get some other drug, mostly opiods like tramadol and oxycodone and rarely some amphetamine-like medicines. obviously almost all of theese drugs where not available in the pharmacy as injectable solutions but i simply "didn't give a fuck" back then and injected the oral solutions (one of theese solutions had silver compounds in it and it stained my skin with blue black marks for a long time...now they are almost gone but still visible).
Apart from various pharms, whenever I went clubbing or raving i would buy street ketamine or mdma and later inject it by simply dissolving it in tap water.
I even IVd LSD a couple of times by soaking blotters in water for a few minutes.

This self-destructive habbit went on for almost a year and during the last months I would use the same syringes without disinfecting them but simply wash them with water.

Now its been almost 6 months since my last injection, I can say i completely stopped taking pharms and drugs apart from weed, alcohol moderately and rarely LSD, however there are some clearly visible needle tracks on my left arm and on my wrist. They are pretty unusual since the surface of the skin healed completely but below the skin there's red/brown/purplish 'stain' goin along the vein.
I've spoken privately with a few pharmacists about my problem and asked them for some creams to get rid of em or at least fade it a little. They gave me 2 creams which where supposed to help me but they didn't do much even after months. I'm planning to seek advice from a dermatologist once the vacations are over but i also wanned to ask on bluelight since i'm sure many people here had the same problem and maybe could advice me some creams, products or any other treatment to make em go away faster.

Any advice would be incredibly apreciated! Theese sings started to gimme loads of problems (socially and professionally).
Thank you.

might be scarred tissue showing or just scars

I still got mine but there fading away. I hear vitamin e helps ( get the gellcaps and poke a hole and apply gel on marks). or just vitamin e w/ antioxidants lotion.

Did IV lsd work?

Mederma is a popular and effective scar-reducing cream. I have used it in the past with some success, but my arms are so bad that the tracks are never going to completely disappear; the Mederma has, however, made the scars more of a skin-tone.

I also use a product called "Bio-Oil" which contains something called "PurCellin Oil", a proprietary scar-reducing formula. It seems to work a little faster than Mederma, but it does leave an oily residue on your skin after application.

scar treatments

I have the same problem. It makes me so depressed in the summertime. I know for sure that you must stay out of the sun. You have to keep the scars moisturized, massage them, keep them warm, excersize for blood circulation. I think Scarguard works better than Mederma. I think Mederma is a rip off. Silicone sheeting works after about 4 months. Try to get the scar perimeters as small as possibe by using scar creams/silicone,,, then after about 2 years... if you still have dark purpleish marks... you could try a skin lightening cream like Hydroquinone 2%. Its found in Scarlight and Palmers fade cream. but this is tricky b/c it will lighten normal skin too... so just put it on the scar and nothing else. dont use a lightening cream before the 2 year period! Trust me. Its b/c the scar is still new and big and if you lighten it at this point,,, you will have the same size white spot.. Its better to allow the scar to shrink as much as possible as it matures and then when its small you can lighten it. a tiny white area isnt really noticeable. Ask your doctor before you try hydroquinone,,, okay. Lasers work too i guess.. I never tried them.

Even surgical scars take a couple of years to reach their permanent "look". Do everything you can to care for them and minimise them now and the chances are that they won't be nearly so noticeable in another year.

Some of the odd discolouration could be pigmentation "tattooed" under the skin. You'd really need a specialist to check that out and tell you the best options for dealing with it.

As mentioned above, Bio-Oil works well and it's surprisingly cheap.

organic tamanu oil i find has worked wonders. put it on the track marks and make sure you really rub it into them. do this about 7-8xs throughout the day, faithfully everyday and you will see instant results. the first time i tried it on my marks i saw instant results with in 2 days. a friend of mine had a really bad keloid scar, from a cut and its practically gone. she dosent do drugs but suggested it to me and it really does work. just go on line and type in organic tamanu oil.

Hi Navarone, You sure have put some shit in your veins and you sound quite young. As it goes mate you got one thing going for you, you aint been banging up for very long so you got a good chance of your tracks healing and dissapearing virtually alltogether. I been banging up well over 40 years and I got no surface veins but the scars have all but totally gone on my arms. Be carefull though because I suffer terribly in my legs where I fucked up the circulation. (groin and deep veins in my calfs). Im 63 and still on the gear but it has to be 100% clean. You would be shocked if you knew where I put it in now so I wont give you any bad ideas. Get a nice tan, that helps to hid it while it's healing. Good luck mate!

tattoo's are a big mistake because you may hate them when you get older and they aint so easy to hide, or get rid of. Every tattoo removal I've seen have left a nasty scar that looks like a serious burn. I hate my tattoo's but the removal scars would look even worse.
