well, i just found a bottle of liquid morphine with a oral siringe (without needle) ive been trying to research proper dosage for liquid but the mesurements allways come in mg, but the siringe is marked in mLs. what would be the proper dosage in mLs?

The bottle should be labeled "xx"mg / mL. Which I'm guessing isn't so do you have any other info on the bottle you have.

Yeah you need to figure out the dilution of it. Example: XXmg/XXml then you can simply decide what is a safe dose for your current tolerance level by measuring out the amount of ml's that corresponds to the mg's dosage you are trying to ingest. It's rather simple and it has to be on the bottle somewhere. I'm an RN and i've never seen a liquid opiate medication that didn't list the dilution ratio somewhere on it. By law it has to unless someone has purposely taken it off.

Honestly, if you don't know the dilution you shouldn't be messing with the stuff. It'll likely be 2, 5 or 10mg/mL. We can't give an answer anyway with this info... tolerance etc would help us do so

That's why I tried to be as bleak as possible with my answer because he didn't give me anything to go off of. That's why I stated he needs to figure out the dilution and then decide from there what's safe for him to ingest with his current tolerance. I hate how people make these posts like

"Its urgent before work and I need to know because basically I need to get loaded at work and if I don't get an answer i'm just going to do it anyways by just randomly drinking an amount & it'll be bluelight's fault for not answering me quick enough"

Personally i hate that we constantly get these kind of posts that want these answers quick so they can safely get "high" when truthfully there is nothing safe about a liquid morphine dosage of unknown dilution being given to someone who we know nothing about there tolerance. How are we supposed to honestly give you an answer and feel that we are acting in the sake of harm reduction by doing so if we don't even have all of the pieces of the puzzle we need to even make a general recommendation. You think a Dr. would diagnose your illness if all you could give him was 1/10th of the info he needed? No not unless he was a quack and just wanted you in and out of his office so he can get paid.

How much you could take opposed to how much i could take would be drastically different. I have a huge tolerance as ive been a CP patient for 2+ years and am on hydromorphone currently & have been on morphine er in the past. I know what kind of dosages of morphine are needed for me to feel relief. Also if you even told me your remote tolerance level, being a RN I could probably give you a ballpark range of what would be recreational & a good analgesic and maybe "safe" as an internet consult can be. I know DJSIM being a pharmacist could also give you accurate information, probably better then even I, if you gave him even a little bit of info he'd need to safely be able to give you advice.

Not knowing the dilution rate though makes all of this irrelevant. It's on the bottle somewhere as well as it's required by law unless someones purposely gone through the lengths of removing it. It'll say XXmg's/XXml's. As DJSIM said. it could be 2mg/ml, 5mg/ml, 10mg/ml, etc. So if you pull 1ml out it'll have 2mg, 5mg, or 10mg's of morphine. Make sense?

I did a search for the morphine bio-availability thread, and this showed up first. Links to a larger thread would be appreciated.

FYI-Getting high is not my prerogative. I am not opposed to catching a pleasant buzz, but my objective is to be pain free enough to function until my surgery, assuming it will be effective.

My doctor who is taking over my case is on an unexpected leave of absence, putting me in an awkward position. I am forced to find alternatives for the next few weeks, which is why I am asking for the purpose of harm reduction how I can make supplies stretch. Supplies are limited and I dont IV.

My question is this....and feel free to direct me to a better thread....Does the ROA matter with the form of morphine?

I may have access to a bottle of liquid morphine, 20mg per ml. My normal BREAKTRHOUGH pain medication is 30mg roxicodone oral. Sometimes I just use 15 + 15MS Contin if the pain isnt bad.

MSContin does not hit fast enough orally for acute pain, but I may have access to liquid morphine IR to tide me over until I see a pain specialist....MSContin also makes me groggy and fall asleep rather than euphoric....I dont NEED euphoria, but I do need to be awake. I noticed IR and IV opiates dont put me to sleep as easily, and I wonder if its because of where its absorbed....maybe if it hits the liver first I am getting more morphine metabolites, rather than morphine straight to the brain....or maybe its some kind of effect on the para-sympathetic nervous system, like hot eating marijuana feels very different from smoking it....

Anyway, the dosage is 20mg per ml. I normally use either 15mg MSContin + 15 to 30mg oxycodone for acute pain, but I have a lot of tolerance specifically to oxycodone.

I have MSContin, but I am trying to replace only the fast acting for acute pain. I am not looking to get wasted, I am just trying to make supplies last until I can get in with the new doctor.

If you close this thread, a link would be appreciated.

The goal is to make supplies LAST the longest, so I am going for duration rather than for the highest acute blood levels.

stick with the oxy for BT pain.. Especially if you need to stay awake, as it is a stimulating opiate while morphine makes you more drowsy, and if you are taking ms contin than i wouldn't want any more morphine by using it for BT, even if it was a liquid solution.
BT meds are usually something different than the long term meds.

EDIT: i dont quite get what you're asking so if my answer doesn't fit than just ignore it.

Instant release oxycodone 15mg & 30mg pills do the trick. They dont get you tired from what I have seen & give you a stimulating high & are pretty good for BT pain.

I dont have enough Roxicodone. That is why I am forced to be resourceful. I am familiar with MSContin, which is not that effective for pain and shit for acute pain, but I have potential access to some liquid morphine IR which is better.

if you normaly take 30mg of ir oxy for pain managment then 40-50mg's morphine should be about the same i take 30-60mgs ir oxy for pain but normaly have to take about 90mg's ir morphine to equal 30mgs of ir oxy but thats just me all the charts say oxy is 1.5* as strong as morphine also you have liquid morphine as apposed to ir morphine pills so i would assume it would hit a little faster/stronger then absorbing the pills so 50mgs should do it

ive recently came across a bottle of liquid 20mg morphine sulf and an oral/topical syringe with no needle.what a cawinkeydink ey? i also am unexperienced with morphine, having only takin the pill form a handfull of times(also may i say that the results were less than satisfying all but 1 of those times.so it goes without saying i have NO experience with liquid morphine or main-lining.i need to know EVERYTHING about dosing and properly injecting.as well as the easiest way of obtaining a needle.

(also i know this is slightly off subject, but quick question.what are your usual dosages like of adderal?)
