If someone were to take Acetaminophen/ Hydrocodone and then take something else with acetaminophen like 500 mg or more of it would it increase the effect of the hydrocodone? Would it give you more of a buzz feeling?

No it wouldn't.

Please post basic questions like these in Basic Drug Discussion.

You need a life. You are always the first to respond like your the God of all drug knowing and it most always something negative. Get out a little.

Yea', F' the negative people. And to answer your question, Ezrider, adding more Tylenol/Acetaminophen to Hydrocodone isn't going to do much of shit but irritate you. And again, everyone is different... You may like it, but at the same time... Remember Tylenol severly eats your liver and kidneys up. So, if anything, you want the 10/325 Norco's. F' all that Tylenol, it doesn't get you high.

Uh, he answered the question, he's a mod so he's supposed to correct people if they post in the wrong place.

Thanks oxterzon. But answer me this. Will an orange 7.5 hydrocodone have the same buzz effect as a white or bird egg? Is all the other shit they say are in them or not in them have anything to do with the high?

Tylenol has nothing to do with the high, it is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug, it won't effect the high in any way other than maybe relieve a headache that you might get. If you want an opiate potentiator get some white grape fruit juice or combo with promethazine.

Mostly no, possibly yes. GFJ potentiates opiates by helping more of them to be converted into active metabolites (ie: heroin -> 6-MAM -> Morphine, or Oxycodone -> Oxymorphone). This is limited by the dose you take. Take oxycodone as an example. The oral b/a of oxycodone is 85-90%. This means that if you take 20mg, your body is getting as little as 15mg of it as the active metabolite. GFJ increases this number, but it obviously can't increase it above whatever you took.

The potential for an overdose is still there if you're opiate naive, or if you are using a drug with that would otherwise have a very low oral bioavailability (this trick only works with opiates taken orally). Practically speaking though, the danger is very low.

EDIT: To clarify, I used heroin just as an example of opiate metabolism. Obviously there aren't too many people out there taking heroin orally. ;)

Oh please...
He answered your question, which was quite a foolish one. One that could be found out easily with a bit of researching. And told you where these questions belong.
I can't see why yer getting bitchy about it 8)

APAP not an NSAID

Tylenol has nothing to do with the high, it is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug, it won't effect the high in any way other than maybe relieve a headache that you might get. If you want an opiate potentiator get some white grape fruit juice or combo with promethazine.

Actually, acetaminophen (a.k.a. APAP, Tylenol, paracetamol) is a type of drug belonging to the class called aniline analgesics. Sometimes it is incorrectly referred to as an NSAID because of it's similar non-narcotic analgesic effects. It's not a true NSAID because it doesn't have any effects on inflammation. I'm not sure, but I think it's the only drug in it's class...

ha ha Tylenol is NOT an Anti-Inflammatory drug. Get the facts straight before responding you look like an idiot

This isn't a game of "catch the moderator". We're here to try to help you guys, ourselves... everyone, so if you're going to take this sort of thing personally each time, you're not going to have an enriching experience here on Bluelight. Skitty, Acetaminophen is not commonly grouped amongst the NSAID's as it has a lesser propensity for actually reducing inflammation, but to say that it's not an anti-inflammatory is incorrect. It's just less effective that other drugs like Ibuprofen or Aspirin.
