I wonder...Am I the only History Major?

I'm a political science major with philosophy as a minor does that combined = History degree :)

I think I may change my major to history. I always thought of myself as a future scientist, but while the life sciences still fascinate me, as my second semester comes to a close I realize I'm just not happy doing what I'm doing. It may not be as lucrative a field as biochemistry, but hey, money can't buy happiness. I used to think that phrase was just a mantra for the poor to make themselves feel better, but I've learned otherwise.

So in general, how selective is graduate school for history?

Ody, as someone going through the graduate school steps (just took the GRE w00t!), it all depends on the school. The minimum GRE scores for science are 1000, but prestigious schools probably have a higher minimum. Artsy graduate colleges at my school only require an 800 on the GRE. In my school, the artsy categories are easier than the sciences.
