Just starting the Gym, Advice please....

well eDDe your beating me for weight! how you doing in terms of bodyweight? I'm up from about 9.5 stone to about 11.5...

(weights I'm about Squat: 100kg, Dead 120kg, Bench 80kg, Shoulder 70kg- Yes my shoulders are freaky strong compared to the rest of me. Those are like 5-8 reps.).

Up from 9 stone to 11.5, then down to 10.6 stone recently due to improved diet.
80kg squat 3x5, 140kg dead 5x2, 80kg bench 3x8. Not really done much shoulder pressing, just military press at 50kg 2x8 (don't do it often)

PS. a lot of that weight lost was due to cutting down big time on the cider

^sounds like we're pretty similar- you'd make a good training partner! :)

You should try some arnold presses- grab some 20-25kg dumbells and have a shot.
