Hey

Ive just bought an Xbox 360 and want to use media center with my PC so I can watch films/listen to music etc through the Xbox. I have set everything up fine and can view photos/music through the xbox. But for some reason I cant see films in media centre (xbox) ? I can view these through media player (pc) but not the Xbox. I get an error " Cannot Play Video - The file type is not reconised and cannot be played. Either the correct codec is not installed or the file is corrupt. ? Any ideas ?

Ive tried everything under the sun and cant get it to work, do I have to put a codec pack or something on the xbox itself with a flash drive or something ?

Its weird cause I can see the same films on media centre on my laptop.

Any ideas ?

most work. some don't.

ihaven't even tried to put a fix to this as it really doesn't bother me all that much

Most of the formats that will work are Microsoft formats. You can convert your videos to these formats to get it to work.
