My IUD Story: battle fought and won!

I was thinking of ordering some sea sponges as back up. I know Yara posted about those a long time ago, but I couldn't find the thread anywhere. I will probably give the diva another try soon, like you said, it seems like the odds of actually pulling the IUD out are pretty slim.

Could you please elaborate on this statement. I'm very interested in an IUD but I have a history of PID and HPV. I've had normal PAPs in the last 5 years (I have one at least once a year) so I guess the virus cleared out as it sometimes does. Do you think since I've had normal PAPs in the last 5 years, an IUD would be an option for me?

Also, does the paracervical block completely get rid of the pain?
