Sounds like me. Monday and wednesday start at 3. Over at 430 on mondays, over at 9 on wednesdays, but I have a 9 am class on Tuesdays. Looks like another coffee driven semester for me unless I can wrangle myself a work study job in my dept. for monday and wednesday mornings.

Haha yeah, i think alot of my money this semester is going to starbucks... Glad I got some giftcards for christmas! At least I don't have class on Wednesdays or Fridays :D

So, are most people going back to school now? We still have two weeks of vacation left.

That's right - we got one of these too 8o8o8o

Right now I feel like job hunting and bigfoot hunting are one and the same. :X

I need to stop living nocturnally. Don't see many LED-"Help Wanted" signs, now do we??

I only just finished my course last week, and already I feel lost without that constant reminder of always having to finish an assignment. I've spent the past 8 months dedicating my entire life to finishing this course and all my time was spent if not at work, then studying, and I actually grew to really enjoy the study. Now i feel lost :S It's weird.

I wont be back at Uni for 8 months, I'm guessing i'll come to enjoy NOT having assignments in time lol

Come here. I'll show you where they are. Though, I'm not sure if 'escort' is something you'd want to put on your resume. ;)

One more time...

How's the social side of everyone's semester's going? Good parties? Good weekend escapes? How's your living situation?

Or for those with jobs, how are things going? Do you like your coworkers? Feel free to bitch about your boss. As long as your boss is not a

Ya, if only school libraries remained this quiet, I might have actually been able to focus over the years. Where's the analogy of the football team making jokes in the multimedia room, or the coeds exchanging gossip next to the printing station?

I don't really socialize with other students that I didn't grow up with. I hate big parties tbh, but it's not like I'm a hermit. I always hang out with my friends I just like to chill more than party.

^ Are you big on your school's football team?

BA, was there much of a party/drug scene at whichever Ivy you went to?

Well, yes and no. Columbia is in Manhattan, so there's not much leg work involved in finding dope. I'm sure other students partook, but I'm not aware of anyone in particular. At the time, I was naive enough to think I was the only one.

As far as campus parties go, there weren't any fraternities, per se, other than maybe academic ones, and they didn't have a "house." As far as other clubs, the only thing I attempted was football--but unfortunately, 5'10, 190 lb defensive linesmen don't really go over too well at the college level, so I didn't have much of a chance to buddy up with those guys.

I'm still waiting on my boss to fill out the paperwork so I can start working, which is making my living situation/financial situation less than comfortable other than having my rent paid until February. :|

Ah yes, the academic fraternities....what? "Alpha + Sigma = Phi"?

I like him for the most part. I mean, he can be kind of a pain in my ass, and he's a little awkward to talk to. But he's a nice guy. Just really involved with his research and wants everything to be done a very specific way, which is the opposite way of how I do things at my school/labs.

More like "Alpha + Sigma + Phi = Clean Living, Community Involvement, & Good Grades."

I'm sure that as you went down the outskirts of Morningside, there MAY have been a couple of "animal houses"...but I was both a freshman and a loner, so I really don't know.
