We're so there! :) Looking forward to what Pendulum are like playing live, from what I can imagine it's going to be awesome!

Seen them a couple of times and they are awesome.

Can't justify spending $60+ on them this time though. Sorry.

I'm in Starfalls boat.

Ilikeacid: they are very, very extreeeeemly entertaining :) Just remember to scream out:

Shotter, hitter, serial killer
Go-a your funeral and all drink out your liquor
When you are bury we a-stand next to the vicar
Fling on some dirt and make your bury a little quicker
Shouldn’t test the youth them in the Tommy Hilfiger
Hug up ya mama, say sorry to ya poppa
All-a get number for ya little sister
It true we cold like alaska, freezer!!!!!!

Wicked show!! So packed though. There was literally water dripping off the roof onto the dance floor because of the all the condensation, talk about sweaty!

I must say the few new songs from their new album sound awesome, I can't wait to get my hands on it :)

Pendulum is dead. Long live rock n roll!
I used to love pendulum with their first album before they turned rock. That rock show is ridiculous. It's not DnB though.

I posted this on ITM already, but for those who don't read it...

Hifi is a shocking venue. Seriously. Too hot, too many people. Besides
the venue though (that normally doesn't matter if it was a rocking
night) Pendulum.. are well.. better as drum and bass producers than
rock stars.

For me there wasn't a real connection with the performance, their
percussionist was in the dark (lighting was shit on stage, I would've
thought given he is the essence of the track they would at least have
him visible), their acoustic only track(s) were rubbish and quite
simply, they've got to many people in the ensemble!

There is a drummer, 2 x guitarists, 1 x mc and a keyboardist
(synths).. oh and a bass player.

Seems like they are transitioning to rock but haven't quite done it
yet and in the process aren't doing a very good job of mixing the two
things together.

Having said all that, the tracks that are winners (Granite, Blood
Orange, Hold Your Colour, Slam, Propane Nightmares) were fantastic.
Their faux encore (Daft Punk style but way more obvious) with HYC
being played at the end was fkn spastic, but to me, without the
mixed seamlessness you get in electronic performances (eg. Infected Mushroom) the energy dies. You're either a rock act or an electronic act and I
personally think they aren't ready to be a rock act just yet.

I will reserve my final judgment for their album though, it's quite
possible it will be sick.

I'd like to see them again at less packed venue, be right at the front
and rock out with my c0ck out before I put my love for Pendulum to
sleep as they are good but just not fucking good.

Worth $60? I guess so.Teens who take their clothes off and forget
their manners after MDMA ingestion can EAT A D1CK though.

That is one of the main reasons I didnt go see them. It would of tainted the last two times I have. I will wait for their next album before passing judgement. They are an awesome dnb group...but as rock?...im not soooo sure...

Hifi is a shit venue for a group that is going to get people dancing all night. Lack of air conditioning and people heating the room up is a reciepe for disaster.

I just couldnt justify spending $60+ on them this time. Specially i i was going to be let down.

Last time I saw them at the metro i had only one gripe...the mc talked and tried to rap to much and it drowned out the music. While i dont remember much ;) i do remember he shit me up the wall.
