Anybody have any experience in this area? Is it a good experience?

I think you'll end up feeling really crappy really fast, and get bad dry mouth. Your bladder will fill from the alcohol, but you won't be able to piss due to the diph.

Let us know either way, though, if you tried.

I'd really recommend against this combination. I found diphenhydramine to be plenty disorienting, debilitating, and unsettling on its own. I can't see the effects of alcohol making the experience any better...in fact, I would expect to find an individual who drinks heavily after taking diphenhydramine in a state of confusion and emotional turmoil.

When I have tripped via high doses of diphenhydramine I sometimes blacked-out portions of the experience, forgot that I had even consumed a dose of something, and once lost all recollection of the house I was in and who I was which led to me believing that I was being held hostage by "someone" in an unfamiliar bedroom. I can only see drinking making the experience more traumatic.

It would consist of blacking out and then possibly talking to a lamppost thinking it is a good friend...

Really, really bad fucking idea. Of course, you'll end up doing it anyway, but nonetheless, it's stupid. Not only is it physically dangerous (especially for your liver and heart), it won't be fun at all. Diphenhydramine is not recreational. Delirium is not equivalent to tripping. Delirium is what you get when you have an extremely high fever.

lol. did it last night. and the night before. u need to have a certain balance... it could be very very postive! not too much beer, not too much diph...

i felt really alert, but not aware. i talked like 500mph... then my friend started talking 1000mph.. i was in manic state.. too funny. i laughed like crazy.. and then, suddenly, i felt really relaxed. very content. very very chilled. very chillaxed..

do not overdo.

Interesting that you were alert. I only tried Diphenhydramine once to get 'high' and it was bad. It should only be used to help you fall asleep. Usually when I take it within 10-15 minutes I'm dead tired as if I had been awake for weeks.

Diphenhydramine is such a gross and bizzare experience. I wouldn't want to even think about adding alcohol to that. But to each his own I guess.

take Diphenhydramine if u wanna flinch at fake stuff that's not even there..like clear spiders or Michael jordan lol but if that ur thing to each is their own

I once took 3 benadryl for help sleeping after a somewhat heaving drinking session. For me, alot of alcohol makes it hard to sleep. After 20 minutes I felt like I had taken 6 or 7 pills instead, like a mild version of when I was dumb enough to take it recreationally (which I never enjoyed.) My level of stupidity in those days is mind boggeling.

But anyway, the alcohol definatly boosted the effect, although not a pleasent one.

I Love diphenhydramine! in 75 mg doses each night to escort me off to slumber land

I have a somewhat lengthy list of experiences w/ combining the two substances. First and foremost, I'd advise against taking doses above maybe 75-100mg of Diphenhydramine altogether, whether in combination w/ something else or on its own. A common side-effect of Diphenhydramine is restless leg syndrome.. And when taken in excessive doses, this effect hits you hard, and I find it to be extremely uncomfortable and it tends to kick in just when you're attempting to give into slumber..

But anyways, back on topic. In my experience, when you take maybe 25-50mg with a few beers, it definitely increases the effect of the booze. But also the sedative qualities. So your chances of passing out against your will are greatly increased. So I typically only do it when I'm short on beer, take 25mg w/ my first brew, drink a couple more, N if that doesn't do the trick take down another 25mg w/ another brew. Drunk and tranquil feeling.

So! I'd say it's worth a shot, but you should really pace yourself and avoid taking huge amounts of Benadryl.. it could cause oversedation and/or shitty drunken RLS. Cheers! :D

I took 250 MG of diphenhydramine last night with 2 or 3 shots of straight whiskey, 80 proof.
I was very alert for about 2 hours and didn't really feel the effects until I laid down, and then closed my eyes. I reached a state between consciousness and unconsciousness, where I had hallucinations and swore I was talking to a child that wasn't actually there.
I wouldn't say anything sickening happened, I threw up once after I held whiskey in my mouth too long, but I don't think that had anything to do with the pills or alcohol.. more so my weakness for the flavor. :)

I already have restless leg syndrome; the tendons in my legs are too small because they stopped growing at one point. In the past the pills have made me 200x more restless and tingly than usual but once I fell asleep I didn't care. (I have insomnia) I think the alcohol decreased the effect of it because my legs weren't restless at all.

alochol doesnt mix well it makes you irritable of course thats only my personal experience
the best thing to do is take about 10 25mg diph. and about 2 cups of coffee or so and youll get the feeling without falling asleep

i know many will passionatly argue with me on this but i think they go together like penut butter and jelly. i take 1/2 of one with every alcoholic beverage(ussaully 10-15) and its anti emetic properties eliminate any spins and adds a little visual aspect to being wasted. prepare to sleep for 12 hours after though. i never drink without the power dryl. the best mix ever by the way is diph, coke, vicodin, weed, and alcohol. and if you feelin brave throw 300mg of dex in there.

i think people are not being entirely fair to be so vehemently opposed to diphenhydramine abuse that they tell others that they should never do it. It is a matter of preference. Some people have a miserable time on deleriants, or specifically on diphenhydramine. Other people, such as myself love deleriants. Not only are deleriants my favorite substances, but diphenhydramine is specifically my favorite. Period.

Now, for this thread: I am under the influence of Diphenhydramine and Alcohol as we speak, and I plan on posting an experience report so others can get a genuine view of what they might experience...

Hi yes I do both all the time and mixing the 2 Really gets me very very drowsy. Anyone wanna chat more i'm on yahoo YIM my screen name there is tikrik

Did the trip last night. Drank a few shots of Absenthe and took around 300mg of Diphenyhdramine. It was pretty much counteractive. I drank later on quite a bit and ended up just feeling very drowsy (as expected). I think there was nitrous somewhere in there as well, got a little hazy haha.
