Floyd all the way. Each album is so different from each other yet all amazing. I'll probably get shit for this, but I don't get how so many people love the Syd years. I guess if you like simplistic childish lyrics like " I've got a bike you can ride it if u like" he's your guy. Floyd started for me with the entrance of David Gilmour.
 
I agree, for once I think the popular opinion is right ( that dark side of the moon is the superior pink floyd album). the thematic, lyrical, and musical content is all way above the rest of their albums - animals is the only one that comes close for me, and that album is a bit drawn out in some of the songs, I think. dark side of the moon combined mature, perfect material with just the right amount of pop sensibility.
