This post is only here from sheer curiosity. I am at the moment reading "The electric kool-aid acid test" by Tom Wolfe. In it a drug called IT-290 is mentioned. It is just described as a "super-amphetamine". What was IT-290, what is it now known as, what does it do etc. ? Basically what the hell does anyone know about it?
Thanks

hmm...
i knew someone who mispronounces amphetamine as "ethidimine" or something, and he always talked about IT-290-ethidimine.. it sounded like he possibly wanted to say ethylthioamphetamine... but.
AMT? i actually didn't know that (though I knew about AMT, i didn't know the IT-290 thing.)
along the research chemical axis: MK-801. i shall say nothing else.

AMT is alphamethyltryptamine.
Although i've never tried it, from my knowledge from reading experience reports it sounds like it's a drug with a small bit of empathy, lots of speediness, and some acid visuals.
