[Combo Subthread] LSD & Opiates

Have taken mescaline with methadone and that was great combo. I saw one of my friend last times while I was on that combo... good time it was certainly. I'm really glad that we did that.
 
this may sound odd but i USUALLY take an opiate whenever i dose LSD.

Acid makes you feel that anxiety, makes your back ache, makes you doubt yourself and be nervous. take a normal to lower dose of OC or Morphine before you eat the acid and you will have a very comfortable trip. It gets more "mental" when your body can relax and enjoy the ride.

not to mention you "feel" shit more when your trip is on, so the normal dose really is effective.
 
2c-e combines very well with low (15-20mg) ammounts of methadone, though the combo does cause nausea
 
^^Same could be said of pod 2c-e and pod tea. But 20mgs methadone isn't really a low dose for someone without opiate tolerance.
 
I notice that an opiate is better to have on the end of a trip.
For me if an opiate is consumed during the peak of the trip it will not be felt.
Psychedelics over power the opiate feeling for me.
Same goes for smoking weed.
It is only beneficial before and after a trip.
Smoking during a trip I notice no increase in high, but it is still pleasant
 
I have yet to try an opiate in combination with a strong psychedelic but I have had great success with cannabis + morphine combinations. The euphoria was incredible (more so than either by themselves) and I was actually getting some OEV's, but the room was fairly darkened :\

I find acid is great for this effect in particular. It forces you to deal with it. If you're eating opiates you're not dealing with the discomfort. Acid can teach you how to breathe properly and that is the beginning of all contentedness. That being said I do enjoy opiates on LSD, but they do dampen the insanity. It's more for when you want to be more functional on LSD. It is a different flavor-appropriate for some times and not others.

opiates are used to dampen or abort your trip. they're nice if you have any trouble or anxiety to fall asleep after your trip.
 
I find that opiates tend to 'switch off' or at least dampen down emotional responese to situations (as evidenced by the hyper-emotional state after the physical aspects of w/d have gone) and this much restricted emotional response removes the abilities of psychedelics to produce an exalted state as they're generally categorized by a strong emotional content.

Besides which, I feel that in the long run opiates did me no favours and actually dimished my sense of living life 'here & now wheras psychedelics have helped me enormously with problems I had as a kid and have allowed me to feel more vital & alive.

This could also be due to the fact that several months ago I decided the only way I would take opiates in future would be purely for medical reasons as I can do without all the excess drama they've caused me in the past.(
 
Coming done off a single hit of some acid i was testing.. about 7 hours in Billywitchdoc.com and I eat each half of a 2mg bar and snorted 40mg each from an ABG 80mg.. it was weird.. when we sat down a relaxed we felt our downers, and when we moved, like walked around from room to room we felt like we were on acid again, just some minor hallcinuations..
 
Without Opiate tolerance:
taken insufflated 2ce with 200mg tramadol, Lots of fun after the first painful hour from snorting that shit. Once the tramadol kicked in I was just in a mellow patterned wonderland.

32 mgs of 4 aco mipt and 60mgs of morphine(time release) oral, was nice. The trip was very lighthearted and nice.

I also did Lsd and opium(both first times) for my first 'trip'. It was only 1 hit(geltab) but still very fun and very cool to lay in a tent and just stare at patterns youve never seen before. I kept forgetting I took acid and kept thinking how powerful the opium was:)

Id love to mix an opiate or opium with a high dose of acid though. I think psychedelics have great synergy with opiates, although I have heard they "tone down" the peak(don't know if it is true).
 
I use opium to come down off trips. You know those last couple of hours when your not quite right & still edgey...
 
The combination of LSD and heroin is known as a "Frisco Special." It's great, but even a seasoned junkie (like me) can get a little needle-squeamish while tripping.
I'll have to try it with poppy tea sometime!:)
 
That would be the only way I would take a psychedelic that lasts more than a half hour again.

Now that I am thinking about it, the last time I took LSD(4blotters) was with a 150mg shot of H.

BTW, I have had many vivid colorful hallucinations on H, always the same thing too.
 
My only experience with psychedelics and opiates is the following:

I woke up early in the morning (gotta get that empty stomach) and took 25mg hydrocodone (with no tolerance) following 4.2g of mushrooms 20 minutes later. I would say the trip was very mellow and hardly any anxiety was experienced. I felt really good the whole time and my body was thanking me! I ended up drawing a lot, smoking cigs non-stop, and watched some of the movie "Casino" (DeNiro's face was morphing like a picasso painting!!!!)

I dont think its anything special. I would save the opiates for the psychedelic comedown I enjoy; to be high all day :)
 
Some of the best trips I have ever had were a combination of LSD and some form of opiate. I havnt found the opiates to dull the trip at all like benzos would. I enjoy the combo, it seems to make my trip that much more happy. I dont mix all the time though, because I like to expereince the psychedelic for the psychedelic, only mixing with beer+herb most of the time. Occasionally I will already be high and acid will pop up and I will jsut have a mind blowing trip.


Im sick and I jsut sneezed on my hair and it smells...
 
Fuck, you guys are making me miss opiates :| I can't get any in my town though, luckily (in a way).

I would feel that using another drug to make LSD "happier" would be cheating (I know that might sound dumb). But I took a klono before my last trip, although I think the acid demolished it after an hour or two. If I was rolling in the drugs, it would be a different matter, but being only in possession of weed and acid I lean towards the evangelical route.

Is there no potential for working through these edgy feelings without using opiates?
