Who likes Happy Hardcore?

was gonna post this in the old skool thread but i think it sums up what I mean about how happy hardcore emergerd from the Hardcore sound...for me this is the sound of happy hardcore in its early stages :-

Fourth Dimension - Side A1

The paino lines there the euporic female vocal, this stuff rocked the place back then...waht followed in the later 90's just didnt get played at underground events anmd doesnt deserve to have the word "hardcore" associated with it.#

I mean shit like this:-

Force And Styles - Shining Down

a parody of the underground scnen and music only ever heard at commercial evenys, it would have cleared the dance floor at the underground parties I went to, whilst the DJ was forcably efjected from the premises=D

Sometimes the lyrics can be tooo cheesy but if done right/im in the right state of mind ;) its fucking amazingggg

Define oxymoron for me please mate lol i sorta know what it means but wanna hear the definition :)

I don't care what definition you use that statement it piffle, but I'm still interested to hear my friend from across the pond, where the music didn't even originate give an explanation of his preposterous statement.

I don't really think the term is necessary for real Hardcore (in that I mean stuff prior to about '97 after which the genre was pretty much commercialised and lost) but some stuff, and I've posted a fair few examples whichdefinitely had a happier style, more piano lines, female vocals etc, than soem of the previous darket more twisted sounds IMO this stuff spawned the HHH itself.
IMO this was in part due to the change from the widescale avilaibilty of MDA in the UK which ended in around '93 when a large chemical factory in Lithuania was shut down and the market was then filled with high grade MDMA. If you have taken the 2 chemicals you may understand my reasoning, I'll give you a couple of track examples:-

the trip 1 - the snowball -- MDA

Ravers Choice - Volume 2----MDMA

Both released in '93, contrast and compare !

Dropsonde....the floor is yours;)

Anybody else here into Happy Hardcore?

My favorite genre to roll to, anyone else into it?

...can't recall if me answered the OP

But, my current heartfelt knee-jerk reaction is: NAHHHH

I might be able to digest a bit of Aussie Doofish Psy-Trance of the Tech-house varietry

if that is even a thing

there are like 4-5 tracks . elysium scott brown, eye opener brisk trixxy, and a few from "tokyo ghetto pussy" and this is only cause i have special moments with these songs from so friggin long ago with all those compilation volumes with the happy smiley face.

i like the sound/tempo , kinda wondering what are the"big" hhc tunes of recent soundin like atm rn tbh.
