Slender girls vs. Curvy Girls? MERGED. [mild work warning]

I mean both. The first picture is incredibly unattractive and the second just doesn't do it for me. I used harsh words in my last post but don't get me wrong, I can definitely appreciate a girl who is lean. A lot of them can be hot, for sure. I was mostly talking about the girls who think it's good to be as skinny as you can and don't have much fat or muscle on their bodies. I have been with this kind of girl and I don't find it appealing for a lot of reasons. I would much rather have a girl with some proverbial meat on her bones. But take my preferences for what they are because I am a big guy at 6'4", 240 lbs.

EDIT: Noticed you said you were looking for a pic, and I hate to use a pic from a porn website but I have no better way to express how I feel. This girl isn't skinny and she isn't fat, this is the kind of girl I usually go for, she is full figured in a non-extreme sense of the word and best resembles the girlfriends I have had that I miss the most. Not necessarily curvy, just a good figure in my book. And I am speaking realistic here, I could throw up a beautiful model but I could only dream. NSFW because of underwear but no real nudity. http://tgp.americankittens.com/05/lg/02.jpg

notDeja YOU should not worry about being attractive - you are breathtakingly beautiful <3

nickatina points out a good fact I weigh 100 less pounds than him (and 8 inches less) maybe it has a reason why I think smaller girls are attractive (they make a 'match' in my head or something?). It would be interesting to see if people's preferences line up with their own physical body?

ps I do not LIKE the word skinny. I think it is has a derogatory sound and sets up the conversation to make it seem like its UNHEALTHY (building in presuppositions to a discussion is bad form I think). I'd prefer if we use the word petite.

You can have curves and be petite.. I have pretty large hips and a round butt, but I'm only like 5'3"and 100 pounds. There is pretty much no way I could be a size 0 even if I tried. My bf sees to like it and the hips come in handy for carrying kids at daycare so I guess it works.

Thanks. I'm not worried about being attractive, just trying to break these incorrect mentalities, such as curvy = healthy, skinny = NOT curvy, a certain weight is healthy and others aren't, etc. :) I also dislike the term skinny, I don't really use it much, it sounds gross. I like the word petite or slender better. Definitely DO NOT LIKE the term "stick insect." It's fucking rude. I just really want to break this double standard that it's okay to put down thin girls with mean terms like that. It's just as mean and hurtful as calling someone a cow or a fatass.

nickatina, see I'm glad you posted a pic because I had a totally different idea of what "curvy" is. That girl you posted is thin and healthy looking, IMO. Her hips and legs look only slightly meatier than mine, honestly. If that's curvy, then I'm curvy apparantly. lol. I really hate all these terms.

Threads like this make me feel sooo insecure! Haha it's so funny, maybe all women go through this, but I'll think I'm totally secure with myself and then out of nowhere I just get set off by something and start looking in the mirror a lot thinking ugh! Ah! Gah! sdfjhsjfhsdf

LOL the madness! The madness! Moral of this 17 page thread, we all should just love ourselves and be confident. The end. :)

The French have a saying 'They fit their skin' which means, basically, any woman of any shape can look fantastic. Being happy with who you are is where sexy BEGINS.

This is soooo true

^ Since you asked. I'm a fan of bigger girls, and while I would never say that "skinny = unhealthy" or even "skinny = unsexy" (I have a really strong longtime crush on a girl who is a regular pixie), I think that most women can take on a certain number of what is typically considered to be "extra" pounds, and still seem quite healthy, and that is what normally attracts me.

I agree that the thread as titled is not very clear.

A female's body shape says a lot about her life style, at least to me. If she's curvy, if I understand your meaning, that tells me she is'nt very active and might spend a lot of time on the couch watching TV and eating. A well-toned body, on the other hand, says she is active, might run, bike, swim, ride horses, go rock-climbing, etc. The body shape suggests the lifestyle. I like to climb mountains, surf, ski, do things outside. I find that I don't have much in common with females who don't do these things and, therefore, don't have any reason to be attracted to them..

Girls can be naturally curvy, and fit at the same time. Being curvy doesn't immediately say that they are overweight or unfit.

Get your facts straight.

I never see any "curvy" girls doing the things I describe.

Yeah I take it that most people here are arguing as curvy = bigger. All curvy really means is that a girl has got a big tits and big hips but a small waistline. I kinda ran with the definition insinuated by the posts here, and I like curvy, but you can't really argue that skinny girls are opposite from curvy.

I agree.

The problem is that the media has adopted 'curvy' as a euphamism for overweight.

You're talking about a "fat" girl not a "curvy" girl. No amount of "activity" is going to make a curvy woman slender. Its about genetics. I have wide, child-bearing hips with a plump ass (inherited by my mother) During the time when I was my "skinniest" (5'1" ~105 lbs) I still had my hips and ass-the weight I lost was in my stomach, arms and face. If I had been blessed with tits bigger than AA's those also wouldn't have all of the sudden lost their curviness with my "activity"

However there are exercises that can help to make your butt get bigger!! :D
