Well....back to the subject ;)

BlahBlahBlah, you mentioned earlier that Triazolam is a better hypnotic and more potent than Flunitrazepam. Have you tried Flunitrazepam or just making an assumtion? Knowing you, I'm pretty damn sure that you wouldn't make an assumption but just curious. How would you say that the effects differ? Triazolam, which I have been prescribed many times and bought illagaly even more is very short acting and knocks me out very quick, too quick to be a recreational drug, but very effective for sleep. It also keeps me asleep longer without nightly waking. I have heard many people compare Flunitrazepam to Clonazepam, is this true? Does it take longer to get you to sleep and does it have a bad hangover profile? I'm curious because if indeed it has effects similar to Clonazepam, I don't think that it would such a good sleep aid as Clonazepam doesn't work great at getting me (and keeping me) asleep. Hit me back if you want...

Speaking of Clonazepam...I took somewhere in between 30-40 of the .5mg Generics like 1 1/2 months ago...I originally took only like 5-8 but than, for some reason, I remember popping all the ones I had. All i remember is sleeping for 2 days straight.

My friends tell me we went to a Hookah Bar, I ordered food, and all this shit happened and I don't remember anything of it. It scared me shitless when I was told some of the things I did.

Needless to say, this scared the living crap outta me...

Well, I congradulate you on your achievements. Bodybuilding takes alot of dedication as we both know. The vast majority of people don't do it like we do (I am going on year 5 of working out...the first year I was learning everything so I'd only say 4 years of solid training)...no amateur fighting but who knows what the future has in store... I am only 18 years old (started when I was 13, got "serious" after I learned everything when I was 14)...I got an early start...great for that muscle density...

So I'd say we both know more than 99% of the people here regarding the topic...

Anyways...Imma pass out...my shoulder/traps workout did the trick to ensure a very sleepy night :)

Right on brotha!

Benzodiazepines have the potential to cause amnesia if taken in large doses and that is obviouslly what happened to you! Shit, you took 15-20mg of clonazepam. I know that you didn't intend to take so much but that is what happens when you have a large quantity of benzodiazepines, you just keep going...and going...and going...and going.

Tell your doc that you are feeling depressed, as it's an anti-depressant, and you heard a friend talk about how much remeron has helped them, that should do it.

By the way, I thought I might say it wouldn't be a very wise idea to take SnatchMaster's advice. It is never really

a good idea to lie to a doctor in-order (especially with powerful anti-depressants like these... come on!) to obtain drugs.
Heck, you should NEVER lie to a doctor as it's their job to help you. Tell the doctor you're having sleeping difficulties and see a "sleep-disorder specialist" regarding the issue. Don't lie to anyone, or... yourself for that matter especially where drugs like anti-depressants are concerned.

If you don't acquire a hefty tolerance to it... Marijuana can have a really nice sedating qualities to it, but in certain circumstances it can sometimes act as a stimulant (varies from person-to-person)... if you are occupied throughout the day and don't smoke Marijuana... then I find Marijuana to be the ideal sleeping-aid. As of late though... as I've watched my tolerance climb through the ceiling (to MJ) I find it is keeping me up all night.
Goodluck... it's a real pain not being able to sleep, huh?

P.S. Benzo's should be taken in moderation if you're using them for sleep. Serious physical withdrawal may follow after abruptly ceasing use of the drug.

I agree...don't lie to doctors!!!

They spend SOOOO much time and EFFORT into medicla school, please give them the respect they diserve...

GET THE MEDICINE TO SIMPLY NEED FROM THEM,....that is the key

I am FKING DRUNK right now, iz hard to type wat i want to type without having to delete so many words...

Eh....help........

Help.....

The demons......

(tames another shot)))

I am healed

THank you

GOODN IGHT!

If you are having problems with insomnia, either it be trouble getting to sleep, trouble staying asleep, a combination of both, or muscle pain/spasm problems preventing you from sleep, just let your doctor know this. There is no reason to lie to your doctor if you are really suffering one form or another of insomnia. If the medication he prescribes does not work just let him/her know and they will switch you to another. Never ask for a specific drug or they might get suspicious, unless it is something liek Ambien where you can mention the million of commercials telling you to ask your doctor about and the pamplets about Ambien in the waiting room. :\

Damn, I was drunk when I posted that crap lol...

I agree with you k'dOUTinAZ, just tell the doctor your insomnia problems and they'll give you something...

More than likely if you ask your doctor for a sleeping aid he will give you a 2 week prescription for Ambien. This drug will work for some but if it doesn't work call your doctor back after a couple days of taking the drug and tell them that it is not working. Depending on your doctor this is the point where either your doctor will:

A) Prescribe some sedating anti-depressant such as Remeron or Trazodone

B) Prescribe a hypnotic benzodiazepine, more than likely Restirol

C) May choose some other sedating or drowsy drug to help with sleep such as a sedating anti-histamine

I doubt your doctor would prescribe an anti-psychotic unless it is a psychiatrist. If so, I would reject the offer and see if there is anything else possible. These drugs are very dangerous and have some serious long term effects. Presribed mainly for mania, psychosis, and schizophrenia. Occasionally they will prescribe it for sleep when your insomnia is associated with any of the above disorders. But is you are desperate and really want some sleep then go ahead and do what you wish because these drugs will get you to sleep.

I will name the different categories of drugs that are used as sleeping aids and the drugs that are included in them. Some work better than others and I will rate them one star as worse and four star as the most helpful. I'm not going to name all the drugs for each category but just the ones most useful so basically all the drugs that I name you might want to consider, regardless of my rating. These are only drugs that I have tried, I won't name all of them. I will make a note of my suggested dose in consideration that you haven't used them before (No tolerance).

Benzodiazepines and Hypnotics
These drugs are very addictive and shouldn't be used for longer than 2-4 weeks as they wont work anymore unless you raise them to a ridiculous dose.
Triazolam .5mg (Halcion)**** Diazepam (Valium) **
Temazepam 30mg (Restoril) ****
Estrazolam 3mg (ProSom) *
Clonazepam 1-2mg (Klonopin) ***
Nitrazepam 20mg (Mogadon) ****
The following drug is a non-benzodiazepine hypnotic of the imidazopyridine class but with similar effects for help with insomnia
Zolpidem (Ambien) *

Anti-Psychotics
These drugs are usually only prescribed for insomnia when it is induced from a mental disorder or for those who already suffer a mental disorder. Be careful with long-term use, anti-psychotics may cause permanent msucle problems similar to DT's which can be fatal
Quetiapine fumarate 25-50mg (Seroquel) ***
Olanzapine 5-10mg (Zyprexa) **
Risperidone 1mg increased to 2mg following days (Risperdal) *
Haloperidol 2-4mg (Haldol) ***

Anti-Histamines
Anti-histamines are used to help with allergies but they also have sedative properties that can help you with getting sleep.
Diphenhydramine 75mg (Benadryl) **
Promethazine 50mg (Phenergan) **
Hydroxyzine 50-75mg (Vistiril) ****
Doxylamine 25-50mg (Unisom Sleep Tabs) *

Anti-Depressants
Anti-depressants aren't usually prescribed for insomnia but some of the older anti-depressants have sedative qualities and are prescribed for insomnia.
Mirtazapine 30mg (Remeron) ****
Desyrel 100-150mg (Trazodone) **
Sinequan 50-75mg (Doxepin) **
Amitriptyline 25-50mg (Elavil) *

Supplements/Vitamines/Herbal Sleep-Aids
These medications listed are all available over the counter
Melatonin 6mg *
Kava Kava 150-225mg Kavalactones **
5-HTP 150mg ***
Valerian Root 450-900mg **

Opiates/Opioids
Naturally opiates/opioids will sedate you and make you tired so you are probably already aware that these drugs will help with sleep. I've tried just about every opioid/opiates known to man but I will list the more sedative ones. These are just the top of my head. Keep in mind that these doses are for a non-tolerant user.
Codeine 90mg (Tylenol w/Codeine #2-4) **
Hydrocodone 20mg (Vicodin) ****
Morphine 30mg (MSir) /Not sustained release/ ***
Hydromorphone 4mg (Dilaudid) **

Additional Sleeping Aids
I will list the specific class that these drugs are from

Phenobarbital 100mg (Phenobarbital) *** /Barbiturate
Catapres .2mg (Clonodine) *** /High Blood Pressure Medication
Carbamazepine 200mg (Tegretol) * /Muscle Relaxant

I really hope that this list of sleeping aids is useful for you. I have switched from sleeping aid to sleeping aid for the last 8 years of my life. I have severe insomnia. Not all of these drugs were prescribed, some obtained illegally, majority prescribed, and some OTC. And as you can probably tell, I had a lot of time on my hand today :)

Oh yeah....marijuana also helps

You sir are the epitomy of a Bluelight user and also the reason I come to this site for information. Thank you for all the info I would ever need regarding any sleep aid used from here on forward.

No one mentioned chamomile. It works. My fave is Ambien, but tolerance quickly builds and you start popping 3. Fortunately w/d is mild. Alprazolam works but tolerance quickly builds and I need like 2-3 mg to do anything.

Ambien is my favorite drug, more so than H. When I can afford more Im getting a few hundred tabs.

What star would you give CBD medical marijuana?

Might these not been mentioned.

Mulungu Bark is a excellent natural sleep aid.

Opipramol, an pharmaceutical, is also worth mentioning. I got great sleep on those two. No residual drowsiness or weird dreams.

Sorry for the necropost but oh my temazepam is such a beautiful drug. 10/10 do reccomend

What I do not reccomend is a binge on something like doxylamine or diphenhydramine, anticholinergenics are fucked up and feel absolutely awful during and afterwards!!
