adj.

1. Marked by or expressing ecstasy.

2. Being in a state of ecstasy; joyful or enraptured.

3. To cause ecstacy.

In a scene where young DJs come and go, it is extremely exciting to see someone as talented as X-Statik working as hard as he is. Classically trained on the piano, X-Statik's love affair with harder sounds began when he was introduced to the stylings of commercial dance from a young age. Eventually, as he developed an ear for music created for the feet, he also started exploring other similar genres. This was when the man stumbled across Hard Trance.

It all stemmed from years of playing around with dance music on his PC, mixing the mp3s he had into mix compilations. On his 18th Birthday he purchased a set of decks and began practising. It wasn't long before the man had mastered the rather technical art of beat mixing, and at the tender age of 19 in the year 2004, X-Statik was notified he was to play his very first Melbourne gig, at the insanely popular Friday night club 3D, on September the 24th.

Important people began to take notice of the wiz-kid, with Mr. X's talent propelling him from bedroom DJ to Melbourne club-scene favourite. Within the short amount of time he’s been playing, X-Statik has spun the wheels of steel at parties including the infamous Advent*jah 2005 at Kryal Castle, where he was privileged to share and play on the mainstage, Pharmacy, Sunshine People on New Years Day, Digital Music Festival, G.O.D, Transmission, Trance Urban, One Perfect Fest, Reason, Godskitchen Recovery Party, Christmas Kandy, Fixation vs. Trauma and Pyscopation. Then there are the club spots, including 3D @ CBD, PHD, Hard Kandy, Trauma, Elevation, Bubble, Duel, Krankin' and Dream, all absolute pioneers in not only Melbourne's dance music culture, but the countries. Plus there were the brilliant final placing's in DJ Competitions, including a 2nd placing for Scattered and a Residency Qualification for Elevation. Not bad for a young tyke barely scrapping at 20.

Recently X-Statik completed a tour of Malaysia playing at two HardSequence events, one in KL and one in Johor. He claims it was a fantastic experience and is looking forward to more traveling.

Not many people who've been playing for such a short time, and at such a young age, can make claim they've played alongside Local heroes such as Jewelz, Hellraiser, St. Luke, Jason Midro, Scott Alert, Andy Golden, Otek and Soul-T, or that they've supported international superstars such as The Warp Brother, M.I.K.E. Push, Cosmic Gate, Dumonde, Breeze & Styles, Jon O' Callaghan, Randy Katana, Chris Liberator, The Geezer, Dave Lea, Scott Bond and Dave Joy. X-Statik can, and with a list so impressive, it's quite unbelievable to realize that it is indeed only the beginning for him.

Mixing up a storm amongst different sub-genres in the dance scene, X-Statik's been known to play - and love - Hard Trance, Hard Dance, NRG, Hi NRG, Uplifting Trance, Hardstyle and even a bit of banging Techno. From the hardest of Hardstyle, to the most uplifting melodic Trance, he’s constantly taking the punters through a musical journey - just a small reason as to why he's a firm favourite in Australia's dance music scene.

With the brightest of beams shining down on his future, he is looking forward to touring overseas to not only travel and see the worlds sights, but more importantly, to share his undeniably brilliant talent of mixing up a storm with punters all over. With his piano training firmly under the belt, he's also excited at the prospect of incorporating a live synth with his sets, with the possibility of production somewhere along the wondrous road of the beyond. X-Statik's magnetism, on stage charisma and musical charm has firmly placed his feet well into the foundations of Australia's Hard Trance scene, with many clubbers across the country finding his sets not only incredibly rewarding, but full of power and packed with spunk.

Pure ecstasy in the form of a DJ. You really can’t go wrong there can you?

Known today for his smooth mixing and creative track selection Taylor Norris began his musical journey at a young age. Encouraged by his parents to get involved in music, he learned to play several instruments while growing up in Indianapolis, IN. After building up an interest in DJ’ing he decided to buy some gear and a few hip-hop records to experiment with. He became infatuated with mixing beats and in 1996 attended his first house party where he was exposed to what would quickly become his obsession….house music.

Over the years Taylor has traveled around the mid-west playing several events along side some of the biggest names around including Dave Ralph, Slater Hogan, Bad Boy Bill, Christopher Lawrence, Chris Fortier, Adam Jay, DJ Dan, Paul Anthony, John Larner, DJ Shiva, Paul Johnson, Darin Epsilon, and Danny the Wild Child to name a few. For over a decade Taylor has been refining his skills on the decks and destroying dance floors by orchestrating hypnotic musical journeys. His styles range from clubby electro house and progressive to darker melodic and minimal techno allowing him to easily adapt to different environments.

He is currently represented by Bang Tech 12, a division of the Detroit Techno Militia. Please direct all booking inquiries to [email protected]. You can find several of his current mixes @ BangTech12.com.

Pan ~ psytrance, Club trance, having it trance music
[email protected] +639158501916 www.pan.dj

Pan's first taste of Psytrance was back in 1997, at a massive party on a cliff overlooking the sea on the Island of Ibiza. From there pretty much everything changed.

Pan started DJing professionally in 1999. It started off with buying stacks of Euphoric Trance, Gatecrasher style, which was sweeping the world at the time. He still has all those tunes, and will never get rid of them. These days though, he plays progressive and Psytrance and having it club trance (psy-uplifting but perfect for clubs) and pretty much nothing else.

His collection of Tunes runs from Progressive Trance to club Trance, Underground Trance and full-on Psytrance.

Pan holds a monhly residency at CHEMISTRY in Alchemy, Warehouse135, Ascend and Absinth but is also free for international bookings

In March this year, Pan was seen playing the closing set at DEEPSKY - 1 March 08, and most recently Pan played a perfect closing set at Elements of Life World Tour TIESTO - 19 April 2008 (World Trade Center, Manila) - 6,000 guests

Pan can comfortably play a mean set at a club, an outdoor festival, a small bar or a huge rave; such is the scope of his music. Whether it's progressive or full-on, the music will always be high quality, never cheesy and always having it, dancey tunes.

Pan plays both Vinyl and CDJ's, though vinyl is his true calling. He's played alongside such DJ's as Absolum, Mr. Peculiar, Oakenfold, I.O.S., Electric Universe, A.S.Y.S, Space tribe, Astrix, Infected Mushroom, Timo Mass, Lange, Dave Lea, Deepsky, Tiesto and many more. His sets are always entertaining, fun and full of surprises...as no one likes a DJ that just stands there.

He has played in Sydney, Amsterdam, Barcelona, Ibiza, Bern, New Zealand, and stacks of other places. Lately Pan has been playing around the world at festivals and Parties -- strictly Psytrance, but showing up on flyers at some of the most unlikely places. He played having-it Psytrance sets at both Slinky & Gatecrasher Boracay Island in the Philippines.

In addition to DJ'ing, he has also done wicked decor installations for parties such as Gatecrasher, Slinky, Godskitchen and Big Day Out Australia.

Brent Roberts (DJ / Producer)

Shortened Bio:

Brent has spent over 15 years in audio education learning everything possible there is to know about sound and music. Brent has only been DJ'ing/Producing music for about 10 years now and has held multiple 2 year residencies at some of the top nightclubs in Cincinnati, and was picked up by his first production company only 6 months into his career. Throughout the years Brent has had the oppertunity to play all over this country from Las Vegas to South Beach Miami and every show has been an intense musical experience.

Brent has had the privledge to play along side some of the industry's most notable DJ talent such as DJ Icey, Baby Anne, Christopher Lawrence, Chris Fortier, D:Fuse and many many more. All of this led Brent to secure a session at Ultra Music Festival 2007 in which he not only stole the show and people from nearby tents, but also managed to film an award winning music video of the performance. Brent captures the crowd by bringing together sounds and music that bring forth such overwhelming emotion that every beat drives the crowd further down his musical path.

Brent mixes a solid blend of melodic dark upbeat progressive electro that delivers such power and emotion every audience is hanging on every single beat. Tektro

Tektro is an alias used by Ryan Weaver to express his Progressive Electro-Tech sound. With over a decade of experience, Tektro brings a dynamic view which propels his panoramic sound into a surreal journey. His approach, high quality music, high quality sounds, presented in truly engaging and entertaining way, makes him a trusted persona of sound.

In 2003 Ryan slowly reduced his DJing appearances and began focusing on other business ventures, however his love for the music never faltered, he continued to collect music and produce music privately, during this time he truly developed his musical mind and ears. His collection music has grown to over 50,000 tracks and has collected a studio ensemble.

Ryan’s passion for music and his continual development has slowly made Ryan a sought after persona for quality music, and with grow in followers the call to return to DJing and producing for the masses has ignited once again. When remixing Major Lazers - Pon De Floor he discovered his sound was blind between Techno and Electro, he decided to call it Tektro Remix. Ryan made the decision to dump his old DJ name "Dream Weaver" for a new alias and thought Tektro was a perfect fit. No matter what genre he plays; House, Trance, Progressive, it always has elements of Techno and Electro in it.

TRIP THEORY

l_ff5ca4770fa7480bae4b574b3eb9ae51.jpg

In October of 1996, Trip Theory was formed. The first CD released in June of 1997 entitled "Trip On X", charted heavily in both magazines and on radio nationwide. DJ Icey and Simply Jeff, to name a few, are some of the big name DJs to chart "Trip Theory" on their top ten play lists. "Times Up" and "8 Days A Tweak" were the first two singles to promote the album and drove it to its success. All this led to the demand for more Trip Theory products, shows, and in store appearances. After the second CD release "Something For Your Mind" hit the stores in September of 1998, Trip Theory's popularity skyrocketed. So far to date several songs on the "Trip On X" and "Something For Your Mind" CDs have repeatedly been featured on MTV's "The Real World”, "Road Rules", "Real World-Road Rules Challenge", "The Making Of" (including Whitney Houston, Jennifer Lopez, Enrique Iglesias, Britney Spears, Puff Daddy, The Red Hot Chilly Peppers, Blink 182, Christina Agulera, No Doubt, Beck, and Jessica Simpson), "Behind The Winning Video", "Loveline", "Undressed", and "The Cut". They have also been featured on the Fox Networks’ "Fox Files", ESPN’s "X Games" and played in heavy rotation on almost 250 college radio stations around the United States. Sony's Play Station is also showing major interest in the group by licensing "Flip Da Track" off the "Something For your Mind" CD for the background music on the game "Jet Moto IV". Following the two CD releases, Trip Theory has also produced several more singles and remixes for other artists such as "The Jackson 5 (Motown) " which also featured "The Jungle Brothers", "The Bass Mekanik", and "Terra Skye" to name a few. Since the first release the word spread and Trip Theory has been on the road playing shows from as far as Seattle, Washington to San Juan, Puerto Rico. Each show has been packed with as many as 3000 people in clubs and up to 56,000 at festivals such as Zen, Cyberfest, Futurefest, Ultra, and Movement. Trip Theory has been on the bill with such big names as Prodigy, Crystal Method, Moby, BT, Robert Miles, Keoki, Josh Wink, Cosmic Baby, Uberzone, Spacemen, The Hardkiss Brothers, Meatbbeat Manifesto, Rabbit In The Moon, DJ Icey, Aphrodite, Cypress Hill, Method Man, Grand Master Flash, Run DMC, KRS 1, Afrika Bambaata, The Jungle Brothers, and many more. Now, ten years later, Trip Theory is receiving nothing but top billing at all of their shows, local and abroad. Fox, MTV, and USA Network are showing interest in Trip Theory for 2010. Stay posted for bio updates. (or check out http://triptheory.com!)
