so ive been using roxys for about 3 years now and my tolerance is way to high,my friends usually inject it for me,by since their not around everyday i would really like to know how to do it myself, yesterday i tryed 3 times but could not get the blood to draw into the rig,and another thing ive seen some people put a flame to it and some people just let it disolve can anyone please help me with this, any tips would help.thanks

I don’t know about dissolving your roxi’s, I don’t shot mine but I’ve been injecting drugs in general since 1976 so I might be able to give some advice with that.

First of all I don’t know what your veins are like, do they roll are they shallow, etc…
And what about you? Are you a heavy person, skinny? It all makes a difference. Where are the veins you’re using? Your hands, arms, feet, etc….

So the most simple and easiest thing I can suggest is go to the last vein that was used by whoever shot you up the last time. Can you still see the hole from the needle? The best thing I know to suggest without knowing any of the things I mentioned is just duplicate what was done last. See if you can get it in the same hole. If you can’t see the hole at least try the same vein. Eventually you need to use different injection sites to save your veins but for this first time I think what I say is the easy thing to do.

If your veins tend to roll use something to tie off with. And whatever you use, a belt, necktie, string or whatever, when you get a register make sure you untie the tie before you push the plunger

It really isn’t that difficult!
Good luck!

yeah im about 6'3 250 pounds and my veins are shallow, and the last time someone shot me up was in my right arm and being im a righty it would be difficult for me to use my left hand to do everything, also the veins im using are in my hand or my wrist, thank you for the help

also, you dont need to heat roxis, anything that doesnt dissolve right away isnt oxy. make sure to filter well, and if you can use micron filters.

try to find a easy looking to hit vein on your left and just go slow and dont get frustrated, it wont always work the first time. try to enter the vein at a 45 degree angle, with the needle pointing the direction the blood is flowing (toward the heart) if you feel pain when injecting, slow down or stop altogether. the oral B/A is pretty high on oxy, maybe try to go back to eating it to lower your tolerance again, shooting is a steep path which is easy to fall on.

,also the veins im using are in my hand or my wrist, thank you for the help

well there is your problem. those veins are for somewhat experienced users. not to mention, if you do it wrong, it can still hurt even if you haven't missed (lots of nerves).

go for the crook of your arm (the standard spot) its just so easy, and if you use a fresh needle you shouldn't even leave a mark. and and you didn't say anything about tying off, I'm sure you are, but if you aren't, make sure you do this. (I steal the blue rubber tie off's from my oncologists office)

the best way is to watch atentively to how your friends do it... you'll see how to hold the needle... i was actually shown by my doctor how to hold a needle to be able to draw back the blood (coz i was butchering my arms going in "blind"... lol

wow, doc taught you how to shoot drugs? or was he showing you how to inject some medicine he was scripting you that needed to be done IV?

dont start slammin shit-do you really want to ruin your life and your health?

Wll she knew i was using, and she asked me how i held the needle.. i showed her, and she corrected me so i could do the drawback... harm reduction in a way... she later convinced me to get on MMT...

I'm glad that she had the right thought to help you do it correctly instead of scold you and send you back out to continue doing it wrong. thats the way people should do things.

Yeah, we need more doctors like that. But Ill bet there was plenty of scolding to go with the instructions.

^^yes she obviously wasn't encouraging me.. as i said, its harm reduction... she's a doctor who specialises in people who have substance abuse problem (except alcohol.. theres another doc for that) and its all freeeeee... you americans could really learn some things from the french health service centers... and no you're country won't get invaded by socialists and communists if you change your health care system... when i hear the prices you guys pay to go to a bupe doctor... its a ridiculously large amount of money... anyway sorry i kindof derailed the thread

I"m currently on some state insurance program in arizona called AHCCCS (pronounced access), so I don't pay anything for doctor visits, or my medicine. but I think the only reason why I got onto the state health care is because I have cancer, becuase normally you can only get on it if you're under 18, above 65, or have kids. of which I'm none, I'm 25, with no kids.

My harm reduction question is as follows. after I sterilize my injection site, rig, etc. I slather on some Triple Antibiotic Ointment. I even go so far as to carefully coat the needle. I have found, since I hate the prick, that this method allows the rig to glide right in. It has genuinely helped me with misses and complications such as swelling, reactions, etc. So after all it seems safe to have some of that under my skin....but is it really?

Thanks in advance for your input.

If this belongs in a different area..move away :) I's newb poster....long time lurker.

None of that is necessary or even advantageous. As a heroin IV user of over 12 years, I can tell you that the best recipe for success is knowledge and simplicity. Use a clean needle; don't add any extraneous chemicals to it. Learn the technique. Get good at hitting your veins with clean syringes and smooth, confident movements. Know what to do and when to do it (the tourniquet, how to tie it, when to release it, etc.). Get familiar with your veins and how to best take care of them. It's a fact that most complications (abscesses, infections etc.) are the result of inept administration of the drug.

You are coating your fucking needlt with an ointment? do you release that everything in the ointment has a a good chance of being injected into yur blood stream? i bet the stuff in the ointment is even worse than injection pill binders if you are not using microns.
