Ive re-used my own needle several times now. im going to throw it away because it Ive been doing a bit of reading & seen that it can damage ya veins. but Ive read conflicting info about how u can get hep c & am not sure weather u can get it even if u dont share needles.

I read this thread already. informative but just wondering if hep c is made just from old blood or if u need to actually catch it from someone.
i u can get it just from re-using ya own needle is it worth getting checked out by a doctor or is it really unlikely that using ya own needle again a few times is really gunna give ya hep c.
i wont do it anymore. i'll have to get a new one if i wanna continue using this way

No.

But.

If you share ANY part of your setup you can catch diseases including hep.
Like spoons baggies washies fits wipes water and of course needles.

^yeah, not unless you've shared your works with someone and it's been cross contaminated. if you yourself aren't infected there's no chance of catching it reusing your own gear.

answered, closed.

Also - you might not get Hep C from reusing your own needles as it is a virus and is transmitted from person to person, but reusing needles is really bad for your veins - take a look at this pic:

Reusing needles blunts them, which damages your veins a lot - so they are far more likely to become collapsed, thrombosed, unusable and generally fucked up.. not only that but if you damage all your veins in a limb ultimately you will impair the drainage of blood back to the heart.

Take a look at this thread too: Safe IV technique megathread and FAQ

Also - useful external link about safe IV technique :)

Needles should never be used more than once, even though there is no risk of infection if you aren't sharing :)
