At the first meeting of the restructured TRIBES Advisory Committee (17/6/2003) the Tekno Tribes application (there have been a few posts re this, but basically peer-ed at parties, contributions to bl of BBV and other harm-reduction issues, a radio doco-special, and a 'best-practice' party) received funding of $7150 - just over 1/4 of what the application was seeking.
the areas of the project funded at this time are:
peer educator payments (attendance at parties, researching issues for bl threads, work on the radio doco), and the radio doco (recording technology, promotions budget, station sponsorships)
The formal offer and contracts are being developed at the moment; the contributors to the project application obviously have first-dibs on paid positions, but if you'd still be interested in some level of involvement, contact Michael on 8354 7311/ 0421678665 or [email protected]
