Stilnox recreational use / dosage?

I can honestly say, after a LOOONG 6 month Stilnox addiction that rec drugs are best left to he REC drugs !

I have soo many soo stupid tales from my Stilnox days. It took me months to find a source that selld them in bulk, and boy do I wish I never found him!

My dose was always 40mg, but I'll be fucked if next day i hadn't realised I'd had THE REST OFTHE BOX !

If you have trouble sleeping, take 10 or 20mg and GO TO BED, if you want to trip out, drop some X or drop some acid, but STAY WAY AWAY from Stilnox (Zolpidem)

I can se now why Stlinox is on the TGA's list of banned imports. Zolpidem Tartrate...............

Among hundreds of story's, some of my BESt are;

I telephoned my parents, hours drive away, and saked them for more food as I can't feed all these girls in mu house. I said I'd run out and they where eating all my food. My old man got on he phone and wanted to talk to one of them, but I said most of them cannot talk, because they are eating. I ended up getting annoyed as they weren't going to help me so I apparently hung up on them.

They drive over, and this is about midnight. I'd taken the Zolpidem about three hours prewvious, probably 50-60mg.

The knock at the door and I answer, and tell them they have to be quiet becasue he'll wake all the girls, as they are now sleeping. They prtty much break in and find ALL of my food in bottles, jars, platesa nd bowls all over the house, and every possible sleeping space made out in makeshift beds. Efverywhere, hallways, kitchen, rooms, bathroom, everywhere had sheets and pillows.

Dad asked to talk to the "girls in charge" but I told him you cannot talk to them - THEY ARE ALL GHOSTS!!!!!

I woke up on the couch at tjhier place, and was told this after I woke up, I didn't belive them till I got home !

heres another - I was in the toilet, and the door handle broke off. I had taken allot of Stilnox that night and freaked out. I end up breaking the window and wriggling out of the small hole. i fall onto the hot waer system and heater, both broke. I then find I couldn't get back in the house, as it was locked - it was in the am. So I dig a hole in the front yard to sleep in. Sometime that night I decide it's WW2 and Im hiding from "Jerry". I'm calling out to all my war buddies and hiding behind cars, shooting something and yelling "take cover" I apparently broke the nighbors car antenna off and use it as a sword because my gun was out of ammo.

The last report of the night was I was running down the road with this antenna, in my boxers. I don't know how I got back inside, but ALL of my food from my fridge and freezer, was in a garbage bag, next to my letterbox, out the front !

This and a few more horro tales lead the street to contact my landlord and tell him ppl are afraid to go outside, incase I am there fighting a war, I was evicted.

All over my Stilnox. The stupid thing is, I REMEBER NONE OF IT, NOTHING! And I can never remember taking mor than 4 at a time, I take the rest after it starts.

I used to hide th box, after I took 40mg, but somehow I'd find it. i used to write on the box, DON'T TAKE ANY MORE, but I always did.

If you can tak this and control yourself, good luck to you, but don't be surprised if you hear some crazy fucked up story about how you came onto your 60 yr old neighbor at 4 in the morning after she wondered what the helll was going on next door LOL

Ah stilknocs and Vodka...

I can normally handle Stilknocs well, though a close friend of mine after about 4 stilknocs and drinking becomes completely munted.

The last I *remember* we ended up calling escorts which came around, we coulden't *do* anything except waste a huge sum of money and afterwards he was completely naked running down the street trying to wear a large cushion cover as pants asking them to come back.

Stilknocs, Mmm... some recreational value but much better for sleeping :D

What's amnesia? I don't remember.

After reading this thread, it sparked my interest to give this a shot. I thought to myself, 20mg to start off with, man that sounds soft (having been acqainted with Benzo's). But I played it safe and took 20mg to give it a shot last night. I convinced myself not much would happen and I could hardly have episodes like what other people on here have described.

An hour later, I was wondering why people's names I didn't know kept coming to mind. Things would just jump into my head like "Sally's Birthday", I don't know a Sally or anybody havinga birthday soon. Later on I remember trying to listen to a Shpongle CD with my eyes shut, but it became uncomfortable because I kept forgetting where my body was. I remember taking one more and going to sleep, so no proper "amnesia", but I do remember a shitload of voices in my head, that I tried to talk back to (something before taking the stilnox, I swore I would not do!) but as soon as I had recognised them they went away.

It was fucken real weird shit, to say the least, reminded me of having an uncomfortably functioning brain on acid one time. There was parents/friends in the house that I was worried about though, so that could have impacted on my trip I think. I was always conscious of them. Next time, and there will be a next time, I'm curious as to where one can go with this stuff, I'll try 30mg when I've got the house to myself. I'l let ya know what happpens.

Yes, I am sorry, being a forum like this I should have mentioned ALL the side-effects in my threds. One of the most prevalent was infact, talking to ppl I had imagined were either there, or in my head. I'd often argue with ppl that they are not helping me do things. Like there was 30 ppl sitting around and they are all watme prepare beds, or fight a war or whatever.

Nieghbors had come around a few times as they thought therew as a domestic, but I was alone.

I gave some to my brother, he was last sitting in his car, yelling at the imaginary passenger to get out or he won't go anywhere, LUCKILY the imaginaruy passenger wouldn't budge LOL

So Munted, this is normal, but weird none-the-less. I'm surprised you remember such detail. 40 or even 50mg will throw you into arguements and delusions only a luniatic could inmagine - have fun

And I must add, the positin that the Docs apply this, that it's NOT addictive, is bullshit. Maybe not Physically, but mentally, phycologically, DEFINATELY !

Well I thought I would add my 2 cents.

I woke up sat around midday at my friends place after a gr8 night out fri night, felt pretty groggy but not 2 bad, left my mate still asleep and went home totally unaware of what had gone on that morning...

I just talked 2 my mate (2 days after) who said that when he woke up, his gf had gone and her phone was off.. she had gone 2 her parents house because she was so pissed off / freaked out by how f%^ked up we were...

He then told me that we had eaten about 6 tabs, smoked many cones, and had actually recorded ourselves (all unknown to me). He hasnt watched all the video yet, but he said its mostly incoherent babbling. He told me 2 check my phone to see who i called, because he had called a few ppl.
I had called a few ppl, nothing 2 bad, but included a work number, havent heard from them yet... NOT kool.
i also had an unknown number in mine, showed it 2 him, much 2 his shock, it was his mums number, haha.

Apprently i walked into his bedroom twice while they were asleep, once knocking the TV over.

I watched a movie i have no recollection of seeing, but i came across it at the vid store the day after and thought 2 myslef "Why is that movie title so familiar..." (it was 'Honey', if any1 has seen it?? )

ANYway.... stilnox is not kool, i like 2 remember what i did, so i can have some idea of the motive behind it. cuz honestly i dont know why i called these ppl, knocked over a tv, talked incohrent crap, recorded myself, watched a crap movie (i think??), and who knows what else.

definately givin it all a break.

I know this is all very tame 2 some of the stories on here, but im a pretty tame guy! anyway, i better start apologising....

Stilnox is certainly NOT an non-addictive sleeping aid. It has the same potential for abuse, tolerance and withdrawal symptoms as benzos. I've abused them regularly and do enjoy them. I ususally take them orally but snorted once and IV'd a few times. Combined with alcohol in particular can produce interesting hallucinations if you try to fight off sleep. We normally drink alcohol and dose from 40-70 mg. If you can stay awake the visuals are quite enjoyable.

I agree, stilnox are much fun if you can manage to stay awake.
I remember after having a bit to drink once and then having 2 stilnox, i tried to roll a cigarette and i couldnt see what the fuck i was doing!!
I do enjoy them, especially the visuals. I find im very wobbly on my feet with stilnox: I once found myself in the bathroom not knowing what the hell i was in there for, and taking about 10 mins to walk to the door.

Has anyone else found that stilnox are quite enjoyable whilst stoned?

Well i had a pretty crazy experience (after first attempt taking 2 to see what it'd do to me... not much), i tried to get the trippy effects.
I heard it worked well with alcohol...
So i had 3 shots of vodka, waited for that to kick in and then swallowed one 10mg tablet. I then snorted 10mg at the same time (which i must say was not the smartest thing ever, it hurt like a bitch, but it did come on fast within 1 minute) i then had 2 cones waited for everything to hit me followed by a 3rd pill (i heard more then 30mg starts to cause amnesia).
Anyway sitting there i felt this strong feeling of being drunk, yet amazingly clear headed, then i started seeing wierd visuals.

My screen was kind of moving around and the windows that were open on my screen were moving around, and there was a bit of colour change. Anyway there was a strong feeling that someone was in my room talking to me (seems scary now but it wasn't). Also one crazy visual was the feeling that there were all these hands flying through my room.. wierd.

Through some MSN convo's i remember describing the words i saw being typed as little trees with birds around them tweeting, and the page was a huge bush or jungle. Also i described the drug as being like the fast food of drugs, all the junk thrown into one thing to make some crappy, fatty mass produced food that somehow tastes suprisingly good. If you compare and contrast with other drugs
eg MDMA being like a candy store
Cocaine being like an expensive resteraunt with small sized meals
Opiates being like chocolate
I don't know i can't remember my analogys

but anyway it was a wierd and fun experience that i hope to have again soon.

I want to know if alcohol is neccessary to trip and if it attributes to the amnesia aspect (being that i could remember the night pretty clearly, but had a few small hallucinations the next day). How high the dose can go, while still being able to remember the night (i don't wanna wake up scratching my head to an empty packet.)

On a side note, I found it very easy to stay awake on and i felt quite awake the next day both times although somewhat disorientated sort of like a "scat" feeling after MDMA, and also i would like to advise against snorting the pills they hurt

Lol... this sounds grouse... i'm going to my doctor next week... i guess im some what of a wannabe pshchonaut... i enjoy tripping thoroughly, especially the "im a dumb cunt talking to plants" thing, sounds interesting, and Valium just doesn't do much, neither with Temazepam, cept make me feel wonky *stares a the two temaze tabs in his pocket* bah...

Also, how about speed and stilnox, cancel eachother out, or just give u a trip? and alow u to stay awake. Benzos are usually pretty active with me and speed... wondering if these would be the same (ie: 2 temaze tabs, and a line of speed generally gets me speeding, but makes me euphoric and wonky)?

yeah benzo's don't do much for me, practically no euphoria.
In fact most downers don't really do much for me up as far as Oxy's.
Alcohol would be my favorite depressant and even that I still don't like very much, but weed from what I know has a stimulant effect and should be placed in its own category...
If stilnox is a depressant, i'd say that stilnox and LSA are my favorite depressants or sedatives, and dissociatives are an entirely different kettle of fish... sorry if im babbling

My first experience with xanax was very similar where I took 6 x 0.5mg pills. I had them, next thing I know I was in my bed being woken up by my mum about 2 hours later, not knowing what the hell had happened or how I got there. I went out that night and felt really mellowed out and the amnesia followed the rest of the night up until the next day. I do remember one stage at the computer when I think I was half dreaming but awake at the same time lol.

I had 3mg of xanax as well for my first time and every experience i've had with Benzo's, is they make me feel relaxed (not euphoric at all) and sometimes a bit dumber but anyway when i go to sleep i get knocked out, and won't wake up for ages, very different from stilnox where I seem to wake up refreshed.

Oh yeah stilnox does leave me with a sort of wierd hangover though, sort of like a speedy "scat" feeling, like the one that comes after E, but i can think clearly. I also seem to get a bit of time dilation as well the next day, and sometimes i've got a few minor hallucinations.. eg seeing a big black box for some reason and a bit of depth percpetion screwing up (but not intense just enough to notice).

Cones + Stillnox(20mg) = Perfectuaon and is a lovely. IMO its best taken at home whilst chilling..

I did it tonite and the experience is good so far

My girl and I have only done Stillnox whilst on a plane from LA to Sydney. Slept the entire trip. But I tell ya. when we woke up and had to "think" about stuff, like getting our bags and going through customs. It was so hard to do.
The carpet was moving all over the joint and we had to ask people to get our bags of the carousel, as we just couldn't judge the pace of the conveyor.
