Hi guys, just wondering if it's possible to get PAWS from either gabapentin or baclofen. I abused opiates for 2 and a half years, then opana for a year and a half. I stopped all opiates 8 months ago and have used both Gabapentin and Baclofen since. I only used them a few days a week for the last 8 months and have tried quitting cold turkey but the withdrawals were horrendous.

I've since tapered both the gabapentin and baclofen and my taper will be over in 5 days. Just curious if I should expect PAWS or not. Thanks in advance for your help!!

I don't know about baclofen. But there is definitely clinical evidence of long-lived WD symptoms in some gabapentin patients. See, for instance:
Title: Withdrawal Symptoms after Gabapentin Discontinuation
Authors: Thaddaus R. Hellwig; Rhonda Hammerquist; Jill Termat
Journal: Am J Health Syst Pharm. 2010;67(11):910-912.

The upshot of the article (and others I've read) is that some patients experience long-term effects of gabapentin WD, and that the effects are similar to commonly experienced benzo WD symptoms.
