detox from suboxone

not sure if im putting this in the right place or not!!
my dr has had me taking 8mg sub strips for over a year now
i seriously want to get off of this crap already
i have talked to him about getting off, but he just shrugs it off
so im not getting any real help from him.
starting to see he just wants me to fill his pockets
he even started telling me, because of my illness, crohns disease
that i might be on the subs indefinitely!!!
(not if i can help it!!)
so how do i get off of this stuff, without going into a major withdrawal??

Why were you put on it a year ago? Maintainence or pain? If you are gonna come off it requires a long slow taper to avoid serious withdrawls

initially i got addicted to my pain meds, pain management dr suggested i get on suboxone
i would like to know what life is like without having to take a medication just to get through the day
anyone detox off of this stuff successfully???

can nobody give me any advice????
i know there isn't a protocol for getting off of it
and everybody deals with this differently
but somebody out there has got to at least have an idea!!
