TV shows you should never watch high

So last night I'm baked and I'm flipping the channels cuz I can and I stumble upon this sex change documentary on TLC. All I kept thinking was "oh shit, that's fuckin crazy!!!" Then the show is over and I change channels...couldn't find anything. So I leave it on cartoon network cuz they tend to play the good cartoons late late at night (it's like 3am btw) so then I start thinking "damn so is that girl really a guy? oh damn she coulda been!!!" and pretty much went on like that til 5 or whenever I fell asleep. Proceeded to have a dream about ME getting a sex change, from guy to girl...apparently my male name was mike lol.

Oh and a while back I was watching cops cuz a friend told me to and watched a cop tackle this woman who was running around with a big kitchen knife who ended up stabbing herself when the guy tackled her. Ironically she was trying to kill herself in the first place and also was threatening to stab herself if the cops came near. Oh yes tackling a person who's suicidal AND who has a big sharp knife in their hand is just the smartest thing to do. I mean damn I was high when I was watching this and I was convinced she was gonna jump out of the TV and stab me too. At one point she was in a van ramming a cop car right in front of the camera guy and shit you wouldn't believe how far away I got from the TV lol.

After Cowboy Bebop last night, there was this Tom and Jerry cartoon - Tom stayed out all night drinking with other cats (who could sing, apparently), and kept passing out. He kept getting yelled at by that huge black maid you see sometimes - I know this cartoon was made in the 30s, but this really says a lot about class structure.

I was sober, by the way.

Also, I'd have to advise against watching any 2 a.m. showing of Charles in Charge while taking 2c-t-7 for your first time. It's a little too surreal. Go outside. Enjoy nature. Anything but 1980s sitcoms. :)

I remember after a big night of E and speed and lots of dope, watching Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. That scared the living fuck out of me....scary movie.
:(

The show with the weird nun wearing an eye patch. I think she sells crucifixes or something. Creepy creepy shit.

i watch the same stuff high i do when i'm sober. there's just certain hours of the day there's nothing good on.

(my personal favorite show to watch stoned is the mclaughlin group. no, i'm not kidding)

Haha i was with two friends who were rolling, i wasnt, so i rented requiem for a dream for myself to watch while they do whatever. After about an hour they got bored and i just started watching the movie so they came over and watched it with me. They said that movie killed their rolls and they were all scared of become hardcore addicts and having their arms cut off. It was kinda funny cause i was just stoned (couldnt take E due to medication) but it sure did suck for them. I kinda felt bad for unintentionaly killing their rolls but its their own fault.

Never, and I mean NEVER watch that infomercial for that rotisserie thing where they keep saying "Set it, and FORGET IT!" while you're tripping.

Well shit if we're gonna add movies then let me add natural born killers to the list. The first time I watched it was sober and I found it kinda creepy but the second time I was high and I must say, amazing visuals :)

I'm gonna have to agree with that, and since were on movies right now, American History X. All the rascism in that movie almost killed my roll and it freaked me out when he stepped on that black guys head on the sidewalk.

unless your mates can handle being asked 'is this for fucking real man' every 2 minutes, steer clear of jim carey :|

The Matrix

Fucking freakiest movie ever when stoned. Can't follow it straight? It will completely do your head in when you're high.

Requiem For A Dream

Ok so it's not a TV show, but damn that movie freaked me out while I was sober, I don't want to think what it would do to my head while fucked.

I totally agree, that movie scared the shit out of me sober, would never dare watch it sober.

I also agree with SLM, very good point.

Any info-mercial at all would be bad. . . i mean just watching it and your mind going in a million different directions and you just cant' turn the channel.

My fav thing to watch is Eddie Izzard: Dressed to Kill, he is hallarious and the colors in his makeup are great for visuals.

As people brought up infomercials, it made me remember...

One night I was rolling at a club, and for some reason they had a tv playing infomercials in the r&b room...go figure...anyways, it was for a machine that vaccuum seals your food so you can store it easily and for long periods of time.

I was hit with a mixture of horror and fascination, and all I could think as I stood there watcing it silently for like half an hour was "who the fuck would want to laminate their food???"

hehehe....very entertaining in retrospect, but just plain freaky at the time...

unless you like adrenaline

I would suggest NOT watching the movie American Psycho when you are nice and baked. It wasn't that it was all that scary, it just felt like I was actually inside the movie watching this guy kill people in real life. Everytime I saw someone get hacked I got a huge rush of adrenaline like I was actually there and needed to run away from this psycho as fast as possible. I actually enjoyed the movie even though I don't get into gore that much, but couldn't bring myself to rent the sequel when I saw it at Blockbuster.

I'm usually able to stomach anything I can when I'm sober. Be it good anime (like Trigun or Cowboy Bebop), cartoons, porn, the news, or even Faces of Death-esque videos.

Its Oprah and most other talk shows that get to me... especially Jerry Springer. That's just flat-out, we're-not-hiding-it stupid.

Watching American Psycho was mainly hard for me because it made some people question my sanity.

When he was preparing the livingroom and then killed the guy with an axe, I literally started screaming with laughter, shouting: "OH MY GOD THAT IS THE BEST THING EVER!!!!! REWIND REWIND REWIND!" etc. etc. ;)

Moviez To Rent

clockwork orange
requiem for a dream
american psycho

jus yesterday i was at the mall ( i never buy dvd's at the mall seeing how i can get em 9 bucks cheaper at Best Buyz) and i came upon this one title "GHETTO BRAWLS" aww man is that shit gangstah~!

imagine ur outside of a corner store drinkin orange cola while smokin a blunt with the bois and u see two big fat black girls gettin loud with each other and then BAM BAMM BAMM u see them wailing at each other, same feel.

its all griity scenes caught on tape of ghetto fights, str8 up one on one fights and like a couple of jumps.. i say its actually learnin material even though i think some of the fights coulda been set off better.

EXTREME FOOTAGE WHILE BLITZED... GREAT TIMEZ~!=D

I watched the Disney version of The Prince of Egypt one night with some girls. When a jewish slave was getting whipped by an egyptian I totally freaked out.

Also I was watching a music video show late one night outside by myself and the clip for Zombie by the Cranberries came on and I almost shit myself.

Alice In Wonderland traumatized me for some bizarre reason.

I've been known to watch anything, though. Including the preview channel, for three hours. I don't know if you people have this, but it scrolls through and tells you which shows which are coming up on the tele. Fascinating business.

=D
