So I use a Phenylephrine nasal spray to clear out my nose.I was really stuffed today, so I used it before I did a few lines, I waited the normal amount of time and didn't feel a thing.I know it didn't go down my throat and it should have been absorbed, but apparently nothing did. Idk, if it did something with the sinuses to where the opiates wouldn't get absorbed. Anyone have any ideas?

Oxymetazoline is a selective alpha-1 agonist and partial alpha-2 agonist topical decongestant, used in the form of Oxymetazoline hydrochloride, in products such as Afrin, Dristan, Nasivin, Logicin, Vicks Sinex, Visine L.R., Sudafed OM, Zicam and SinuFrin. It was developed from xylometazoline at E. Merck Darmstadt by Fruhstorfer in 1961. Oxymetazoline is generally available as a nasal spray.

It's OTC.

Pseudoephedrine is best if you want long term relief but it's kind of strictly controlled in most places now.
