Whoah... I just watched "Harvard Man"
The part when he's tripping off acid on campus is funny/scary. If anyone's seen it you know what I mean...the plot wasn't completely focused on drugs but there are a LOT of scenes where they show his perception on LSD.
I laughed when the FBI is asking him "What'd you take? E? Smoke some crack?" I was like omg, what dumbfucks!!
Anyways, thoughts? I recommend all bluelighters see this for kicks. A decent movie.

I agree with RiCePlaYa. This is a decent flick. I'm actually a bit suprised that apparently so few bluelighters have seen this movie. The plot seems somewhat shallow and transparent at times, but the sheer randomness and overall philosophical untertones make this a movie definintely worth seeing. Not to mention that Allan's trip sequence is probably the best cinematic depiction of the psychedelic experience I've ever seen.

I really didn't understand what the LSD scene/s had to do with any of the actual story, besides being a blatant attempt to scare people not to try drugs.

i thought this was a pretty sweet movie. :) acid r0cks... and that scene when him and sarah michelle gellar are goin at it in the woods.... OMG :) hehe.

The movie is okay. I would really like to know what drug you could be injected with that would bring you off of THAT much LSD that quickly is, though . . .

^^^ i havent seen the movie in a while so i MAY be wrong... but if i remember correctly... it didnt just bring him down that fast... i believe it was a sedative to put him to sleep while the acid wore off. he woke up and the trip was over, but obviously the movie isnt gonna show him asleep on the couch for that long =P

keep in mind thats based on what i remember, i havent seen it in almost a year. :)

I would think a Sedative like Lorazepam at a high dosage would bring the NMDA effect down enough to sleep.

I think the movie was ok overall, I did like that they had a long tripping scene for a movie even though it was kinda cheesy. The Al Franken part was pretty funny too.

i liked when he was getting stuck in a mind loop near the charles river. "run river run run.."

that part scared me about lsd as I've never done it and dont know it's effects - how realistic was his depiction of the trip? especially the looping of voices? I thought i'd bring back an old thread than start a new one...thx

I watched this movie the other day & thought it was different but pretty good. I read what it was about & thought, I like gambling movies & fixing games while playing college basketball. Then part way threw the movie, im thrown a curve ball by the main actor popping 3 sugar cubes of really good acid.

I got some flashbacks watching some of those scenes where hes tripping balls for about 30 to 40 minutes of the movie. Definitely an interesting movie & I actually liked it quite a bit. Also loved the part where the main character sticks it to the FBI.
