seeking advice on loperimade taper

hi everyone,
yes this is a real story. I am on day 5 off norco 40 mgs ( 4 10mg pills) a day for about a yr. After doing some reading and having the worst headache for the first day, I took 16mgs 8 pills of loperimaide the first 2 days and it killed the withdrawls. day 3 took 7 pills. have not taken any today. After reading more about the half life i think maybe i should take a lower does every 3-4 days? until I am off? any help would be great.

Maybe there is a more specific one than those 2 as well.

Check those out in the meantime. I would say try to take as little loperamide as you can handle and see how long you can go in between doses, everyone is different. Then taper off of it.
