im gonna get to the point: i have a misdemeanor on my record which i didnt get convicted for thanks to pre trial diversion. i did my community service and all that bullshit, now i wanna get this crap offa my record. how do i do this, and what exactly happens? does it just get erased? or is it swept under a rug so to speak? and do my fingerprints and picture stay in police files? thankz.

If you completed diversion and the charges were dismissed, your record is as clean as it's going to get. Won't show up for employment background checks or anything. Will show up on a probation report if you get in trouble again, but that's about it.

do my fingerprints and picture stay in police files? whats the deal with that?
thankz again.

I'm probably wrong, but I was once told that your fingerprints and picture are removed, but it requires some paperwork.

Your fingerprints and mug shot remain in police files, I don't know of any way to have them removed.
