Opioids oxycontin oral to iv?

hey

im just wondering if it takes me around 25mg of oc intranasal to get me to where i want to be. how much would this equate to if administered via IV?

o and title was meant to say interasal to iv

Well, the numbers vary a bit for intranasal bioavailability but for the sake of the discussion we'll assume it's ~50%. IV bioavailability is going to be 100%, so your dosage should be cut in half at the very least, but you should start with a much smaller dosage than you think you can handle anyway, so it should be even lower than that. ;p

In my opinion oxycodone is best taken orally, it has a much higher bioavailability (~80% ) compared to intranasal, not to mention you get to avoid snorting a ton of fillers and binders into your extremely sensitive nasal passages. Of course plugging is a viable option as well,

Speaking of fillers and binders, if you're going to be injecting pills you should really be using a micron filter.

It's not worth the risk, otherwise.
