^threads like these in this forum don't get ugly. I mean look at the skrillex or deadmau5 threads. I personally think they're kind of fun. :)
 
All the avant garde shit that doesn't have vocals and lacks a good bassline or melody. Other shit as well.

A short list: deadmau5, all dubstep, sphongle, new deal, disco biscuits, skrillex, the majority of techno.

I don't think there are too many genres that I completely dislike, but there are a few.

Hardstyle/Hardcore/Speedcore/Etc

Just sounds like noise to me. Tends to be dull and formulaic.

Happy Hardcore

I need to be on large amounts of MDMA to enjoy it. Some tracks are not bad though. But it's often a very fine line between good and super cheesy when it comes to HHC.

US Ghetto trash

Latin House

Good for hitting on ladies and such, that's about it.

I also dislike lazy ambient - it just sounds boring and uninspired. Formulaic D&B, Dubstep and psytrance are also kinda lame. Did I mention that commercial electro-house sometime reminds me of circus music. =D

Generally speaking, almost every genre has something to contribute to the world of music, it's just that some genres are just overloaded with uninspired copycats who just play for the masses.

P.S. Let's keep this thread civil guys and girls. :)
 
Can you change it and just make one category for "Bro music"? I'm not too sure what they listen to, but I know it's awful and they need to stop wearing prada and fist pumping.

Damn, well I already voted and assumed "Trance" to be what tiesto is (ive never listened to him before, but I assume lol). I also voted hardstyle because I know what it is and it sucks. Maybe if I liked meth bombs I'd like hardstyle.
 
^Supposedly he doesn't do trance anymore. I guess I would have chosen trance but there's some trance that I like.

I find Hardstyle, NRG, and Hard House too cheesy. Hard House is an oxymoron.


I used to like electrohouse. I'm kind of tired of it though. I guess I don't hate it, I'm just bored of it.

I really hate dubstep. That wobble bores me to tears. I'd actually rather listen to any of the other genres I dislike than dubstep. That's how much I dislike the genre. There is some "dubstep" if that's what you want to call it that I like. Burial comes to mind. I wouldn't put it in the same category as all the other dubstep.

I don't know if the EDM purists would consider it to be so, but to me reggaeton usually has alot of effects like synths and always has a nice drum track, and it's very danceable. So it definitely could be.

Hardstyle/Hard House - really, what's up with 4x4 snares?
NRG - Are we at a step aerobics class?
Breakcore - for the sub amateur DJ who likes meth, infomercials, and sample packs
Liquid DnB - 2 kicks away from being gayer than HHC
Schranz - sounds like it wants to hurt me over, and over, and over, and over, and over,
and over, and over, and...
Fidget House - sounds like a carnival with its finger glued to the LFO
Big Beat - all of the annoying sounds of acid and UK hardcore combined with all the \
corniness of commercial "electronica"
 
Irony , when genre kids (aka psytrancers) call other people's music cheesy . lulz =D
