Can someone tell me when the best time to harvest is (how long after the petals fall off)? I know this question has probably been beaten to death but I have searched and can't find a good thread. I have seen different sources say that I should harvest as soon as petals appear, and others that say I should wait around 2 weeks after the last petals fall off. Also any other tips would be great!

It's when the crown on top of the pod turns upward. I seem to remember reading this somewhere a while back. Can someone second that?
 
^ this is what I've always heard as well.

Unfortunately, we don't allow cultivation discussion here in OD and I'm unfamiliar with anywhere on the site that permits poppy cultivation questions. There are other forums out there dedicated to this purpose that you'll get some great information from, but it just falls a bit outside the scope of here.
