THC in the blood

Not sure if this was ansered in another post, a search i did came up with nilch.
But a friend of mine is going to have a medical test soon, and she recently enjoyed a bit of the ol' ganja, i was basically wondering how long would in the THC stay in my friends system, and basically how long would they need to wait before it would be safe to take the medical test...??
any help would be great...

Is this an actual drug test required by an employer or a simple medical test? If its a simple medical test the chance of their blood being tested for drugs are very slim as its a very expensive test to carry out for no reason. If they are actually looking for drugs this test may be carried out.
Normally employee screening will be a simple urine test and taken from our very own FAQ forum

Urine Detection Period:
Amphetamines: 3-5 days
Barbituates: 2-12 days
Benzodiazepines: 1-42 days
Cannabis (single use): 1-3 days
Cannabis (regular use): 12-60 days
Cocaine: 4-5 days
Codeine/Morphine: 2-4 days
Heroin: 1-4 days
PCP: 2-10 days
