Importation laws regarding 1,4 Butanediol??

hey all,
I was just wondering about the laws regarding importation of this substance? Or if there is a maximum amount allowed in a single transaction?
I would like to get some for personal use, but the amount is quite large, and I don't want to get into any trouble or get it witheld by customs (especially with the cost).
Can anyone help out with laws/scheduling etc??

Haven't got any links to specific laws, but it is my understanding that 1,4 is 100% illegal as it is an analogue of GHB, which is an illegal substance. If I am wrong, could someone please give some specific evidence, as this would be a major windfall for us G whores out there

Im not too sure if it is 100% illegal, as it also has a useful commercial use as a cleaning agent (correct me if i am wrong).
You can get it legally overseas in a number of countries where it is still used as a cleaning fluid - but I can't find any from within australia.
