interesting, since this is a very uncommon stamp, it may be the same as the ones we had in perth a couple of months back (though they were a very small batch). They were quite nice overall, not quite top import quality, but pretty close.

oh yeah, theres a pic of them in one of johnboy's picture threads.

also in the picture is a batman which was in this batch along with popeyes. The all test similarly - purple to black fairly quickly

Interesting because they seemed to be a one off, only came to perth and it was such a long time ago. Kudos to the guy for coming up with some original presses, so it's easier to trace their movements

both the camels and the batmans test black (not purple) very fast

Things like this have happened before.
Last year those amazing dark pink hearts were available in Perth in very limited numbers.
Then about a month or so after they appeared everywhere over east. Which sucked as it almost appeared like they were considered "too good" for Perth and were moved on.
I think u'll find this is a similar situation. They are imported probably from Europe, through Perth. A few stay here, the rest are on their way to easern Australia
The few reports we did have one them were very very good, esp the Batmans i think.
