Gay Dreams

I was hanging out with a friend of mine(he's gay) not too long ago and he was telling me about his dream. It was about dudes and penises and it struck me that it was odd. I tried to remember if I ever had a gay dream and can honestly say that I can't remember any dreams that was close to being gay. I mean I have had plenty of dreams involving sex with women and such. I am heterosexual by the way.

It never occurred to me to have gay dreams either. I wonder if people who are heterosexual have gay dreams. Have you ever had a gay dream? Ladies?

I'm a guy and I have.
But mostly as an adolescent only. I think almost ANYONE in younger years goes through a fair deal of sexual confusion, or maybe it was just me.
But when I was younger although I liked girls, I noticed I had to think about men, or even go as far as watching gay porn JUST TO LEARN that I had no real desire to be with men.

I mean we do still learn our sexual orientation even if we have a biological urge to fuck the other sex. I think its natural to expose yourself to both sexes at a younger age, and then after a year or 2 (or shorter) you realize its just not your sexuality.
So yes, I use to have gay dreams but it was prob less then I can count on one hand. I think your more likely to become gay if the dreams actually scare you. Because the fear could be triggered by the fact that society doesn't approve of your desire for the same sex, so you have the dream, like it, get scared, then eventually realize your gay.
When I had the dreams for some reason they never scared me, because I simultaneously always had a stronger desire for women. As I got older and reached the end of adolescence, I just realized it was simple curiosity, and that there was no real biological desire for the same sex.
So I think the dreams may be more common then you think. But I think if you're having them in later years it may be a sign that you've been living in denial, and that sexual energy is looking for a way to escape.
Just one mans thoughts on this.

Can't say I've experienced anything gay in a dream, ever. I don't dream anymore, but I used to a lot.

It might be important for me to also mention at this point that most people don't remember the majority of their dreams at night.
So you can have like 200 people in this thread saying it never happened, when the reality is they just don't remember that particular dream. And I don't mean "remember" as in you remember it happening then forget, I mean in as you wake up and don't think you even dreamed when you did.

i would imagine that it's pretty common. it seems to variate, orientation not carrying effect; we are attracted to qualities that a "dream sex partner" possesses, i think. there's something about them that we want to get close to or emulate (even if the actual person turns us off).

i can't recall specifically, but i'm pretty sure that i've experienced such.

I've had sex dreams about giant women, people who constantly switched genders, and mental sex. To answer the question, I have dreams about either gender though I prefer one, I don't think it is necessarily conclusive. It is possibly true that if the dreams are especially intense, or provoke a lot of worry as Bojangles said, that there may be a reason you dont want to admit to yourself for the dreams.

My girlfriend has gay dreams about her girl-friends... lol. I think its one girl she's actually done some sexual things with though.

Ive only ever had dreams where I am a heterosexual and with women, which is very confusing for me.

I'm gay and have had plenty of dreams of being with other men, but on the flip side I've also had plenty of dreams of being with women, and waking up feeling quite turned on. I love cheeky dreams starring either gender

I'm female and I've had sex dreams about a younger Angelina Jolie.

I don't even LIKE her, usually refuse to watch her movies or (consciously anyway) find her all that attractive.... but it was certainly hot!

It made me giggle when I woke up, because it's such a cliche... well, it would be probably more so if I were a male!

when I was quite young I dreamt of getting a blowjob from a guy. I remember his fingers on my stomach while I stood over him and I remember exploding into his mouth (my sheets). Very confusing because in my waking moments I was extremely horny for girls and in the rest of my (wet) dreams I was doing girls. I kept it to myself because I was embarrassed about sharing with anybody.

Looking back I think it wasnt an indication I was gay it was just overactive hormones and overactive imagination combined. I dont wish to have my dick sucked by anybody except one girl now.

I think gay dreams are somewhat common in straight young teenage men.

I'm gay, and on occasion I dream of having sex with women but it's pretty rare. My dreams of having sex with guys are much more frequent.

I am gay, and I get enough sex that I don't need to have sex dreams, but this one time when I was a babygay I did have this wicked orgy dream with hot boy twins and there was a hot vampire chick in there as well. A real vampire mind you. None of this Twilight crap. Kids today.

About 20% of my sex dreams are about gay experiences, but what's interesting about that is that my gay dreams never have a context ... I'm just having some crazy sex encounter with a dude, and that's it, that's the entire dream. My hetero sex dreams, on the other hand, all have developed contexts and settings and backgrounds, and the dreams generally keep going after the sexy parts and become dreams about totally unrelated things.

I think this is just because I can count my gay sexual encounters on one hand, and I've been sleeping with women pretty regularly for 6 years or so.

I'm a girl and have recently had a couple lesbian dreams where I was fooling around with a girl and woke up very confused..... and kinda grossed out haha. My other dream I had I was with a girl, and we were about to get married.... definitely one of my werider dreams. But I do have consistent dreams where I make out with my friends, but that's somewhat normal to me now haha. I guess I must really like my friends :D

I had a dream that a girl was going down on me - no recollection of how or why that came to be. but I woke up pretty soon after I started to question to sequence of events, going "wtf? weird".....hasn't provoked any lesbian tendencies though, my mind can come up with some pretty wild shit while I'm asleep, so I haven't felt the need to read too far into it

Yer iv had probably 3 gay dreams in my life but I know I know Im straight. I think a lot of straight people have had at least 1 and it doesnt mean your gay.
