Drugs of Choice On Porn Sets

I always wondered what the drug of choice among actors on porn sets would be. Viagra or Cialis for guys is ubiquitos and alcohol is probably used to get girls less tense. Meth would seem to be the ideal drug- it is for consumers of porn but might make the money shot difficult because it could inhibit orgasm. I'm sure weed is big too. I read somewhere by a guy claiming to have insider knowledge in the industry that the drug of choice is xanax somewhere. I've heard of drug testing by higher profile vid companies (like vivid)- don't know if its just hype. In the 70s it was coke and ludes but with coke doesn't last and viagra wasn't around. GHB would seem to be another big one. I wonder about 2-CB abd foxy- somehow I doubt it. Meth however seems custom made for long fuck sessions and the kinkyness of being filmed and paid to fuck would make it seem like the perfect drug. Most companies that are worth something won't have drugs in the open on set. It really doesn't represent the studios well.

Most pornstars will bring their own drugs to set, or come high. Pot is huge, coke is as well. Meth is good because of how long it lasts, the yellowing of the skin and meth's anti-social tendencies keep this drugs use low and often concealed.

Heroin(or pharmies) and Coke are big with the strippers in Chicago. I'd imagine the ultimate upper and downer has a big role in the porn industry as well. Heroin would probably be the drug of choice for a young lady who doesn't really like what she is doing, and using the drug would seemingly make the job tolerable at times.

I have seen a few documentaries about pornography and all of them said that drugs on set are a huge no no and that actors are regularly tested and if they fail drug screens they have to attend rehab or get fired. Are people just assuming that porn actors are all drug users or is there some kind of solid proof out there that such claims are accurate?
 
^^Varies by company, probably for some companies, esp. big entities e.g. Vivid, but look at Naomi Russell or some other porn stars... Obviously doped up as fuck.

Weed and coke - huge, ED drugs as mentioned too. Just like anywhere else the stuff can be found, not too atypical.

Yeah, the part about the shot is true. I read about that in an article about why you shouldn't become a male pornstar.

Viagra must be widely used. I could see why some amateurs would take xanax. Fucking on camera, the fear of your family seeing it, fucking a stranger, it can all be stressful. But I assume that pornstars don't need it.

It seems like this is all still just speculation. To summarize "Just look at this pornstar, it's obvious she's on drugs". I was looking for something tangible. Perhaps an article in published media or a TV news report, possibly a documentary. There aren't any BLers that work/have worked in the industry that could clarify this, are there?

Redundant anything in my opinion=need to switch it up=drugs. Redundant sex especially if it's your job should be no different, lol. And especially since you're on camera.

If I feel like I'd need an oxy to get through my day with my insignificant job where others don't, I am sure there are just as many adult actors who need them [and don't] for theirs. The porn industry isn't like stripping- you do need to work your way up there a bit more [real legit porn] and I would think a successful career wasn't made just to fund drug addictions, thus my thinking there's not many junkies.

If anyone watches Brandon Iron's Load my Mouth series some of the girls look pretty meth'd out. I'm not saying that they're using on set, but several look like pretty obvious users and a couple look high.

I think any producer would try to discourage open drug/alcohol use on set due to liability concerns. Say an actress got an std/internal injury (hey, some of the porn is pretty extreme these days) and then sued, claiming she was too intoxicated/high to legally give consent. If it came out that she did the scene high/drunk that could conceivably qualify as statutory rape.

On the other hand I can't really see most studios drug testing because they would probably disqualify 90% of their talent pool.

I'm not an insider or anything, just my opinion.

You man not be an insider, but you're correct about the piss test thing. They don't drug test last time I checked, at least the majority of studios don't.
