I personally don't find it that comical, and I don't think it's going to have a long run (hopefully). Seth MacFarlane and his writers should just focus all of their creativity and humor on Family Guy, IMHO. The same goes for American Dad, but that's at least a bit more funny and entertaining than The Cleveland show. Then again American Dad is more politically based humor which I like just not my favorite.

The Cleveland Show is a failed attempt at a different version of Family Guy, and they really should have had a spinoff of Quagmire at least if they INSISTED on a spinoff. What are your guys' thoughts?

Its ok, I do enjoy family guy and american dad but I smoke a lot of pot so I'll watch anything remotely funny. Isn't the guy who does Clevland's voice a white? How is a white guy putting his voice in a cartoon black man's mouth much different than someone putting on black face to play a black character? My point is white people should be allowed to paint themselves black.

American Dad > Family Guy > A piece of shit > The Cleveland Show

Family Guy has gotten really stale. They've clearly run out of ideas. They should stop making it.

American Dad, on the other hand, is as good as it ever was IMO.

The Cleveland show is as bad as I thought it would be.

I cant stand the cleveland show. Its just unfunny imo. Family Guy is the only Seth MacFarlane show I watch on a regular basis. American Dad has its moments but I usually change the channel when it comes on.

I agree with The Deceased; "American Dad" is the best MacFarlane show, not least because it's actually coherent. Couldn't be bothered with "Cleveland", as he's by far the most ridiculous character they could've chosen for a spin-off.

I guess it depends what you're looking for.

Peter Griffin is an idiot. The comedy as a result is mindless and... idiotic. Also, Family Guy is basically a carbon copy of The Simpsons and practically any other family show out there. It's a pretty uninspired concept for a sitcom. Fat man with nuclear family (2.5 kids, suburban setting, etc).

Whereas Stan Smith is a CIA agent with somewhat extreme political opinions. So the comedy tends to be (as someone above already mentioned) a little bit more political and sophisticated. Roger the alien keeps the show fresh as well, because he's a wild-card character.

Peter Griffin caters to the audience that wants to see shock-value comedy, pratfalls, dick jokes, etc. Which is fine, if that's what you're looking for. Personally after six years I find the jokes to be worn out through repetition and the writers are clearly struggling to find things to do with a fat man and his family, just like The Simpsons writers. It isn't a rich enough concept to stretch over a decade.

I mean, how funny is a fat cartoon idiot, really?

American Dad long surpassed Family Guy. The characters are essentially the same but it just seems better written and has fairly engaging story lines, relies far less heavy on those bastarding non sequiturs and has superior characters.

The Cleveland show is pretty bad all round, sometimes I feel racist just watching it, it appears to be written and voice acted for the majority by people who seem to have never even met a black person. It's somewhat self aware and knows this is its shtick but it really doesn't work for me. there's so many worn out stereotypes it's unbelievable. The supporting characters are insanely weak as well, what the fuck is with that weird muscly cleveland/loser comedy. It was originally going to be a family english guys living there but something tells me this could have been even worse.

Nothing to do on Monday mornings so the ritual is download Sunday's cartoons and give them a watch, I still even watch The Simpsons. I get some enjoyment out of the shows but can acknowledge how terrible they are :).

Cleveland Show = Epic fail. I'm astonished its even lasted this long...

The Chevy Chase Show gets cancelled but The Cleveland Show lives on... Is there any justice in the world?

The Cleveland Show is a very good (not quite "excellent" - but certainly WELL WELL above-average) television comedy show, compared to its current competition.

I think its ALMOST on par with recent Family Guy, which has admittedly slipped considerably since The Golden Years, but, keep in mind, the Golden Years of Family Guy are right at the Tippy-Top of The All-Time Television Comedy Mount Everest.

The Cleveland show's minor characters could be better - granted - and the wife, I'm not crazy about - but that said - it's the QUALITY OF THE JOKES that keep me coming back - and that McFarlane-assembled staff churns out AT LEAST 3-5 belly-laughs out of me per episode.

And 3-5 belly laughs (many deliciously racialist) is certainly worth 22 minutes of my time, :)

And, in any case, my future ex-wife Sarah Silverman, has agreed to entertain those who get her, beginning on February 5, 2010!

I prefer family guy but the clevland show is ok, im not bagging it but its ok. Worth watching I guess if theres nohing else on.
