Big Day Out heats up in Perth

POLICE have laid more than 70-drug-related charges in a mainly uneventful - but blisteringly hot - start to the Big Day Out in Perth.
Ecstasy, speed, cannabis and a knife have been seized following a crackdown on drug-use at the event, at Claremont Showgrounds
Police and paramedics are out in force at the festival to combat heat-related violence and injury - with today's maximum temperature forecast of 36C.
One person has been arrested for anti-social behaviour.
