New York police have busted five people affiliated with a drug ring that named their product after U.S. President Barack Obama.

According to The New York Post, the drug ring stamped their marijuana and heroin packages with the president’s surname in red ink.

The drug ring was brought down after a three month investigation by Sullivan County police.

“It's an absolute disgrace,” said a Sullivan County sheriff referring to the drug packaging.
 
Stamped named after "current events" is quite common.
 
It's called trademark infringement.

Yea there was Obama bags out for a while. I wonder if it was the same ones.I love how dope stamps follow wats going on IRL. Had some "Recession" "Inauguration Day" on jan 20th, lots of shit that you see in the world around you ends up on dope stamps.

damn, these guys just had some bad luck when the newspapers just happened to report on it.... because they're just doing what everyone else that came before them has always done, in regards to branding their dope.

And they say there's no such thing as bad publicity.......

Yup stamp bags are usually named for a new movie, song, artist or current event topic.
There was a bust this summer in Newark/Irvington where dudes were using the name D.E.A. on their dope.
Not only did this make the DEA find them and bust them for dope, they also charged them with "Misuse of Official Government Insignia"

man i picked up obama bags in the south side of chicago in june, they were fucking awesome. some of the best powder dope i remember doing recently.
 
This is just funny. I'd get a laugh out of it if I shot heroin and got a bag with the Obama seal of approval! Lol
 
ive had stamp bags with the 2 towers being hit , didnt think it was too funny but im an addict so i still did them , but its true what ever is going on irl is whats on the bag
