Aspire!

First time posting here. Something I wrote last night, comments appreciated

Aspire!
Remove the inhibitions from your mind
Leave the unknown at the door and begin the journey
- of life, sweet and pure, pluck your fruit and enjoy

Cease the moment, aspire to success
Listen to the ambience within
Take, tease and ponder
For your direction may be somber

Feast, pillage or even harm
this is the key to happiness.
Take a stab, embrace this ideal
For you are special, no need to feel

Take the journey, ignore the abyss
for your heart may be amidst
The dust, gravel and all you adore
May create the miriad of evermore.

Interesting poem. It appears to feel more like a warning to me than a "cheerlead", so to speak. A warning of what pushing ahead with concern only for your goal would do.

I enjoy the thought provocation present in the piece.

That's great. It really creates the cold blue feeling of the universe, society, whatever. It does indeed some like both a warning and a cheerleading type thing... it is really both, as is everything. you cant really go in one direction - is it possible? Never. The goal is here, the goal is now.
