HAPPY HOLIDAYS presented by COLUMNS OF KNOWLEDGE
DECEMBER 8th 2001
9PM-6AM
MAIN FLOOR:
DAVE RALPH (Kinetic Records, UK/USA)
A dedicated music lover and enthusiastic supporter of the genre, Dave's track
record in providing clubbers with great DJ sets, unforgettable club nights
and quality vinyl have guaranteed Dave Ralph's place in the hearts of
millions. A DJ for the past 23 years and a recording artists and producer
since 1989, Dave Ralph had built a name for himself in the UK from the early
beginnings of youth club discos to high profile weekly residencies at the
best clubs in the country, including the legendary Cream. He wrote, reworked
and sang on the Bassheads' classic 'Is Anybody Out There?' and established
GLOW Records. Spending a couple of years as Oakenfold's and BT's support DJ
of choice gave Dave the opportunity to travel the globe. Dave maintains
popular residencies at some of the best clubs in the country, including Buzz
in Washington DC, Motor in Detroit, Axis in Boston and others. It's his
appearances at Berlin's famous Love Parade which has inspired his second
album release. 'Dave Ralph - Love Parade Berlin' was released on October 3rd
on Kinetic and gives a taste of one of Dave's full-on party sets at its
mind-blowing best. His tech-trance sound is globally recognized! With this
being one of his only stops on his tour for his new cd release we are honored
to bring you people this rare NE event appearance of this legendary artist!
2:00-3:00AM
FEELGOOD (F-111, Fever/Buzz, MD)
Feelgood's ability to drop kick-ass House music conveniently allows him to
crossover between raves and clubs with ease and it is this talent that has
enabled him to consistently rake in the praise and admiration from fans and
fellow DJs alike. His last big party appearance for us @ Meant To Be showed
him to be one of the best performers of the night. In addition to his busy
touring schedule, Feelgood has expanded into production and remixing
including six new tracks for his own label, Charm City Records. "I Want You
To Fly", was released through F-111. His first release on Moonshine, "Can You
Feel It?" showcases his unique style of blending funky, bumpin', party-time
House. His latest mix cd djmixed.com on Moonshine further proves why your
hands should be in the air the minute this man takes control of the dance
floor and your soul! 1:00-2:00AM
MICRO (Caffeine, Moonshine, NY)
Cd Release party for "Tech Mix Live"
Countless record and cd releases, another successful year for the Caffeine
Tour, and thousands of fans all add up to one thing... Micro coming back to
town. From his intimate set for us @ Something Special this your or his
intense dance floor devastation he caused for us @ Meant To Be last fall, he
never lets us down. Blending funkiness, trance anthems, and progressive to
weave a tapestry of sweat inducing, pounding grooves to make you move. This
acclaimed DJ, remixer, producer, and label founder once described by URB as
the "techno maestro" and by XLR8TR as "unleashing a groovetoo thick to
mention" never fails to conjure an ecstatic night of pumpingprogressive
sounds on the dancefloor.3:00-4:00AM
DB (F-111, Breakbeat Science, NYC)
For seven years now, DB has been America’s foremost breakbeat crusader, as
DJ, promoter, A&R, and entrepreneur. NASA, the legendary Manhattan club he
co-founded in 1992, was not only one of the earliest East Coast rave events,
it was the very first club in America to push the sound of breakbeat
hardcore, the British style that evolved into jungle/drum ‘n’ bass. "From
’92 onwards, I just felt that breakbeat was the most important strand of
dance music, the most innovative and forward-looking," says DB. As the A&R
director of Profile’s techno sub-label Sm
smile.gif
e, he secured the first domestic
releases of single artist drum ‘’ bass albums and put together the superb
breakbeat mix-CDs History of our World, Parts One and Two. Meanwhile, in
tandem with partners Dara and Paul Morris, DB launched America’s first jungle
retail store, Breakbeat Science, in downtown New York. "I don’t like DJs who
have no regard for the dance floor, and go off on their own self–indulgent
trip. At the same time, it’s too easy to only play stuff that you know will
fill the floor. The challenge is steering the crowd towards new music while
still keeping the vibe strong and the people happy." DB's latest cause is the
enormously popular 2-step movement which has seen an emorous success in the
NY and DC markets and has been invading NE as of late. We are very pleased to
give this legend of the industry and good friend a chance to showcase both
his passions with his ass-shakin 2-step main floor and a drum and bass set in
the back! 12:00-1:00AM

^Would like to see her work, work, work it at the party.
Me is definetly there, Dave Ralph, DB and Reid Speed. Get a jacket cause this line is gonna be cold!!

I've found the best way to skip the line getting into the asylum. The last 2 times ive been there, someone has knocked over the little baracade seperating the two lines, and both times i picked it up, in front of the guy in charge of the line. And each time, he has brought my friends and I right into the asylum.

No woman is capable of appreciating me!!

^^
Or just buy a ticket in advance, and get whisked away to the front of the line, passing all the poor saps who didn't buy tickets
